Kaiju 8 was fun, from what I remember.
Demon Slayer is indeed terrible, it’s popularity mystifies me.
Apothecary Diaries is OK, but surprisingly hard for me to follow without subtitles.

Death Note started so well but couldn’t keep it up…
Yeah, that can happen as you get older.
I’m re watching
Great show, loved it.
That looks really good!
Just watched “Argyle,” which was surprisingly good.
Not great, and you have to accept a very Bond-esque level of silliness, but a couple of the twists I legit didn’t see coming.
Didn’t quite nail the landing. A bit too over-the-top, and one too many deus ex machina, but again, it’s a Bond film. Pretty gosh darn good.
We saw that in the theater and really enjoyed it as well. Definitely deserved to do better at the box office than it did. The over-the-top bits were just part of its charm!
Seeing that Denis Villeneuve is going to direct the next Bond film definitely raised an eyebrow.
Oh, are they getting Roger Moore back?
Forgot this was coming:
Feels a bit “Martian 2.0” but then maybe the book had those vibes as well? It’s been a while.
Also, spoilers if you’ve not read the book.
I mean, they were always going to spoil it during the trailer. That’s why I’m banning my family from seeing it!
Loved the book, looking forward to the film!
What’s the bet they show the trailer just before the film?
I’ve literally had a trailer for the film I’m about to watch played before that film.
Or to be more precise, a trailer for an improved version of that film, coming to that same theatre soon! (Which I felt was adding insult to injury.)
I once was shown a trailer for a movie that we had gone to see, because their phone system(1) said it was playing. It wasn’t, it had come and gone. The movie we saw instead
(1) I’m showing my age, aren’t I?
I remember seeing an advert for a toy of the Disney 90s animated Beauty and the Beast ahead of the movie (when it was first in cinemas, 1992 in the UK?).
It said “Can X do the Y thing before Z happens?”, thus giving away the whooooole plot 2 minutes before the movie started
Watching Sara - Woman in the shadows an Italian spy/police thriller on Netflix. I love any story that has “they thought this person as a civilian but actually she’s a retired spy and now she’s pissed”.
Very slow pace, almost like a Scandi noir, love it.
But Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is cool (and Snatch)
