What are you spinning?

It was inevitable that I’d end up grabbing a copy of their other album, just had to find one at a sensible price.

Nineteen years old and from what I can tell never played.

Worked my way through all the albums in time for seeing them next week.

Okay. So far, I’m really into The Fate of Ophelia - the first song of The Life of a Showgirl

Last week we went to see Opeth. Not our first time. great concert. My partner’s favorite band.

Tonight we got to see Amorphis and Arch Enemy (and Eluveitie). no really good pics of Amorphis.

Tonight was not necessary to remind me what a great album Will To Power (2017) is. I like Blood Dynasty (2025) and Deceivers (2022). But Will To Power is something else.

Life of a Showgirl is okay. Didn’t feel as strong as her older stuff, despite some bangers in there. It didn’t helped when I stopped having it on repeat after finding out that Bleach Lab released their EP Close to the Flame

I went to see Electric Callboy in Ally Pally last night.

It was awesome because the show was just bonkers and I got to see my eldest.

The two support acts were full on metalcore which isn’t really my bag, but EC were incredible. It’s like a mix of Cascada euro pop and System of a Down. The 2 singers vibe like Eurovision hosts and they clearly know it’s daft and they’re having a ball.

By the end of the 7th song there had been four costume changes, some fireworks, actual fire and a couple of glitter cannons. Loads of people dressed up in the crowd.

And Seth crowdsurfed!! Fortunately I was too far back to be aware of that at the time.
