Twilight Imperium 4th Edition: PBF GAME 1

you do know, you are able to decide for each player? so, no need to wait.

you either like the card and take it, or you don’t. which then means that player will randomly lose 3.

(I’ll do the random loss)

Sorry for the delay, been busy day at work today. I intend to keep all offered action cards.

Cool, so we can move on to the next player… which I believe is the Winnu and @MIGHTYSploosh!

Your turn, holders-of-the-capital-planet.

I would like to produce a dreadnought and a pair fighters on mecatol rex. Exhaust Xanhact, Alio Prima, and Bakal. If i dont have more dreadnoughts in reinforcements, can i take one from north of Accoen?

Yup, each player has 5 Dreadnaughts and you are at your limit, so you can absolutely take one from the Wormhole space to put on Mecatol.

@MIGHTYSploosh, just a reminder that I think your Agent would save you 2 of the 5 production you need? Not mandatory, of course. Just a reminder.

Okay, with that it brings us back to the start of the list… and me! Yay!

I will use the Leadership Strategy. I’ll exhaust my last planet and my 1 Trade Good in order to gain 4 total Tokens, which I will place 3 in Tactics and 1 in Strategy.

With that everyone can decide if they want to spend Influence at a rate of 3 Influence per Command Token, and where you’d like to assign those tokens.

After that it will be @GabrielH’s turn.

Not for me, nothing to exhaust

Exhaust Vorhal, Siig, Retillion, and Shalloq for three tokens, 1 in Tactics, 1 in Fleet and 1 in Strategy.

Don’t expect any leadership here

You have Sarween Tools. So your cost is only 4 instead of 5. We’ll instead exhaust Lodor & Xanhact. If that is okay?

I appreciate y’all looking out. I actually will save sarween tools for later production. So @Delwayne, there will be a few changes to the map and my setup if you dont mind re-editing it.

  • alio prima is exhausted
  • remove one dreadnought north of accoen, leaving one
  • can the Titan’s symbol be removed from Lodor? Why is it there?
  • for leadership secondary, ill exhaust mecatol and cealdri for 3 command tokens. 1 tactic, fleet, and strat

It’s a Sleeper Token. No, it can’t be removed (but it’s totally harmless unless you do something silly like attack me, in which case it can become either a Hel-Titan or my Flagship when I activate that system… but don’t worry about that, I would never do that to the Winnu unless you gave me cause, it’ll be fine…).

Just so you know, “Sarween Tools” are not exhausted. It’s just a constant 1-Production discount every time you build. But you can always choose not to use it: but you can also use it any time you want.

Well @Marx and @Delwayne, i stand corrected (seems like thats my job for this game). Keep alio prima unexhausted.

Can i move into/through a tile with a sleeper token? Can i produce on it?

Yup! It has absolutely no gameplay affect (effect? I can never keep those two straight) whatsoever until/if activated by me.

Effect for noun. Affect for verb.

… that tragically does not help. I don’t know if “gameplay [word]” is a noun or a verb.

“The explosion had a staggering…” effect? Because the thing that staggered is a noun? Or affect, because it is the verb that is modified by stagger?

“The explosion had a staggering [blorp]”. [blorp] is a noun, it’s the thing that the explosion had, so it’s “effect”. “The explosion [blorped] the entire fleet” - verb, “affected”.

For extra confusion “affect” as a noun, stress on the first syllable, has a specific meaning in psychology, one’s mood or emotion particularly as conveyed in physical signs. “Mr Spock has a very flat affect.”

…should we have a language thread?

It would probably just be me being confused by English. Such a stupid language sometimes… “flammable” and “inflammable” should not mean the same godsdamn thing! So stupid.

I’m a writer, you know. I write books. Good ones, apparently.

Anyway!

@GabrielH, it’s both your turn and your opportunity to use the Leadership Strategy if you’d like.
