I play my Counterstroke action card, which allows me to remove my command token from this system and return it to my Tactic pool.

Okay. Both sides have action cards.
First comes Anti-Fighter Barrage
2d10: 4 + 1 = 5

And then I’m going to assume YES to retreat? (in future engagements do we want to pause game to get that answer?)
But, here are the combat rolls. Attacker first.
Dreadnought shots
2d10: 10 + 4 = 14
Destroyer roll
d10: 4

In this case I would not have retreated, as doing so would exceed my fleet limit.

And the Yssaril can use it!? The universe just got a lot more deadly.

No, I can only use the agent ability, the one we all start with. This is the commander.
