Hard to see all the Light and Heavy Forests I painted due to these trees getting in the way…
Also tested out a new light while photographing a few dozen Star Wars Legion minis…

Prodigious output! Most impressive.
Sorry, but the first figure appears to be Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier. Nothing can make me stop seeing this.
And please understand, this is no knock on your painting abilities, it’s something about the figure’s face and hair. Though the camo does make the arm look metallic, despite being the wrong arm.
Couple units I finished as well…
That’s it for now! Working on some relatively quick commissions, and then back to Ahsoka.
Jousting halflings Hairfoots for a new game by Joseph A McCullough. Characterful sculpts for a fun little game that my daughter is very much enjoying.
I’ve been painting a giant thing. My focus this time was trying to get colour contrast between shadows and highlights and have some unifying tones across the model.
Early shading:
“Finished” (just before I dropped it and broke it into 6 pieces, grr…)
It is massive
Anyway. The glue on the repair is drying so c’est la vie.
Trying out Warcrow and enjoying the gist of it so far. I have too many models and painting them is too slow. This isn’t even half of them, and two has taken me all day. I didn’t like the black of the standard scheme so jazzed it up a bit.
Derpy eyes is their superpower.
Finished some terrain for a client:
I forgot to take pictures of the candles when I finished them. They were basic red with yellow flames.
Let’s rebrand. They’re giving really intense killer’s stares ![]()
Stripy pants for the win.
Finished my bucklermen and the boss boy. I’m regretting not using true metallics.
Edit: urgh. His jacket cuffs. Oh well, I’ll do them tomorrow!
Two dwarf pioneers
Quite proud of these! My NMM is definitely getting better and quicker, particularly the dark steels. Now for a change of pace with some orcs from the northern tribes and then many more!
I’ve also been fixing a few damaged/miscast things which is new for me.
Fangs restored:
Thumb re-installed (though needs shaving down to shape once it’s dry).
I’ve done my first northern tribes mini and I’m pretty pleased. Now to crack on with the others and try not to spend 10+ hours on each of them!
Finished up a few Morats for a buddy.
They’re fine. I am not crazy about how I did, but they’re as good as I can make them without going insane.
A few figures from the last month or so. A trio of Frenchmen very wishing they weren’t in Russia for the winter.
Ork alien hybrids from Meridian Miniatures.
A characterful adventurer.
Three oldhammer space orks.
Holiday done and back to work, but I’ve managed to squeeze this fellow in with half-hour here and there after work and one mammoth session this eve. Just two more and I’ll have my first northern tribes unit ready!
I got myself some very alluring magnifying goggles/glasses which are helping these aging eyes to do (what I think is) some of my best work yet.
