The Crowdfunding Thread

They’ll be updating about which, but it sounds like 12 heroes and 6 villains in this box (I forget the number of environments). There are 37 heroes and 24 villains total (based on a count in a forum thread, so YMMV), so around a third of the heroes and a quarter of the villains. I expect them to want to release the rest in definitive edition format, possibly add some while they’re at it.

(These numbers do not include the team villains, or special OblivAeon stuff.)

A new sourcebook for Spire (co-created by Grant Howitt, the creator of Honey Heist, Goblin Quest, etc) has just launched: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gshowitt/sin-a-spire-rpg-sourcebook

At some point I’m gonna run the game, I swear. Rather than just stealing setting ideas for my D&D campaign …

Thanks. This has caused playing the old version (with someone who knows it) to jump to the top of my TTS queue.

Time zones are probably an issue (I’m in CST) but I’m always happy to do Sentinels with folks - could see about something this weekend if you’d like.

This chap’s in Europe/London like me and knows the system, but thanks!

Oh, a specific someone.

Got my updated Monikers (all in) + Wavelength + The Fuzzies

I sold my old Monikers last year during the pandemic. Which felt like a long time ago!

I’ll be keeping both Fuzzies and Wavelength for now to show them off to non-gamer friends. I really prefer games like Just One for party games. I just don’t like being in some kind of “committee” when it comes to these kind of games. Fuzzies looks very very cute!.

Lol I am keeping Wavelength for the same exact reason.

Ok so I backed it. Of course I did. I do enjoy the little dance I have before backing a Kickstarter.

I’m not sure if it’s one I’ll get much play of but backing as I love the theming and mechanics it’s introducing. Also cosmic is the only “negotiation” game I have.

This could be interesting. Preview includes 80’s boardgames like Mousetrap:

I know. It is…

I decided that I am waiting for the localized version–although I am a bit afraid on missing some Bri’ish humour that may or may not be part of the game and then get lost in translation.

It’s less a possible price difference and more: I already got the German Pax Pamir 2 and it also means with-holding money from Kickstarter and supporting a small boutique publisher here in Germany. I back a lot of Kickstarters but having the chance to cut them out every once in a while is nice.

For the most part my Kickstarter backing has to do with impatience and/or FOMO… and I admit it took some convincing (me myself and I had a long debate about this) before I decided to wait.

Edit: runs to refresh e-mails, awwwww.

I haven’t received my shipping notifications for Oath or Pax Renaissance. The world is so unfair!!!

I haven’t heard from Oath in a while. i
I know it is in port but it is probably waiting to get vaccinated before it can leave the customs building or something … so next year.

I know I’m terrible at negotiation games, and I’d hardly ever play it… And yet I’m still tempted by John Company

Maybe you aren’t terrible but all previous negotiation games you played were terrible?

The only negotiation game at which I’m not completely abysmal is Sidereal Confluence

Maybe you are fantastic at negotiating, but the other people you play with aren’t receptive to it!
