“No, no, this is just a… bar and hotel ship. Yes. That’s what the receipts all say. You’d be surprised how much people will pay for a fancy cocktail.”
We’ll, we’ve only just met, but… what the hell. We like a partner with economic security.
Okay, continued build phase:
Add 1 research to Klingon High Command
Build 1 research node at Weytahn
Use Militarized Industry to build ships at Kronos, Sigma Draconis and Rigel
Build 4 further ships at Kronos
Form 10 ships into Fleet 1 (basic fleet) at Kronos (free because I’ve built 3+ ships at Kronos this round)
Build 2 production nodes at Vlugta
End of build phase
I think you may be one Production short?
Starting with 8P
1P for Research Node (plus 2R)
4P for 4 ships at Kronos
4P for 2 production nodes at Vlugta
is 9P spent. If you bring it down to 3 ships at Kronos that’s still enough for the bonus fleet build.
(Notice @RogerBW : I edited my build phase above as I forgot to build some production nodes, in case you already started it)
Command phase:
C1: build 1 starbase at Rigel
C2, 3: 1 ship at Kronos enters warp and exits at Paulson Nebula (complete my research if successful)
C4, C5: initiate research into Mass Gunney Thong and Adapted Cloaking Device
Sorry, yes, forgot the reserach node production, I’ll drop down to 3 ships at Kronos.
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Ship at Paulson is lost on 6+: d6: 6
Oh for photon’s sake
@RogerBW I;d like to change my last 2 commands to re-try the Pauslon nebula please and forget the new research, sorry to be a pain
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
OK, another ship from Kronos, lost on 6+: d6: 4
I just don’t understand it. How else do you choose your best scientists other than picking the survivors of naked mud-wrestling with a Flarnian Stab Horror?
Drinking contest with a Horta?
Card 8: Romulan (@Carletto80)
(Note that the double-sized ships are a visual shorthand for “ten ships, not in a fleet” to make the map easier to read and have no game effect beyond that.)
@RogerBW (just a note for next turn… I should have 7 command now, not 6 (I earned 2 this round, both exhausted… one from the Starbase and one from Klingon High Council)
We like a partner with economic security.
isn’t it too much economic security?
Next game I aim for a quadruple-sized ship
(100 ships).
I’d add a new win condition in having an octuple-sized ship (i.e. 1k ships) ![]()
So… the time has come to bring the real trek spirit to the table…
Build:
- withdraw trade agreement from the Vulcans (message to the Vulcans: “just in case”)
- put a research onto CC and ODG projects (cost: 2R)
- improve weapons (cost: 4R)
- buy Ascendancy (cost: 5C, gain: 1Asc)
- build 3 ships on Romulus forming them into generic fleet 3* (cost: 3P)
*or whatever fleet is the one with Mining Fleet on the front side
Command:
- Fill fleet 3 with 6 more ships from Romulus (up to maximum capacity)
- Fleet 3 enters warp
- Fleet 3 exits warp through Dakala and Janus VI trying to connect to Deneb V: I’m confident that is possible with any space lane length, but let me know just in case
Message to Vulcans: it’s just a precautionary measure…
@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Space lane: d3+1: 4
Command:
mmhhh… what to do next…? ![]()
oh, yes:
- fleet 3 invades Deneb V
