Star Trek Ascendancy game 6

Card 1: Vulcan (@Delwayne)

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Vulcan build phase:

  • spend a research on each project (-2r) [completes Kir’Shara Writings of Surak]
  • upgrade weapons
  • build 8 starships on Vulcan
  • Remove Trade agreement to Romulans. Message to Romulans: “It is just a precautionary measure.”

  • C5 put ship at Ohniaka in to warp.

One ship lost from each fleet. Fleet 3 disperses.

Card 2: Federation (@RossM)

Ok.

One research into each project.

Disband fleet.

Spend 4 production to build a science fleet at earth.

Spend the rest of my production to build ships at Mazar.

Ok.

Science fleet is going to try and find another system from earth.

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Space lane: d3+1: 4

(C1-C2 used.) That won’t fit a system at any angle, but the space lane itself will fit. So (as Delwayne did) you can stop one space into the lane, then use C3 to impulse back to Earth and out again in a new direction in the hope of a better roll.

Yes. Let’s do that

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
d3+1: 2

OK, that’ll fit either SE or NW towards Izar. SE could potentially take a future 3-lane. Your call. The fleet is one space into the 3-lane.

3 commands left.

Izar please!

Let’s impulse into the system

C4 discovers:

System: Sherman’s Planet (PPO-3)
Exploration: Romulan Confrontation (place a new Romulan or PTYR ship here.)

Two commands left.

Oh hi the Romulans!

Hello to you, at last…

@RossM you can exchange trade agreements with the Romulans if you like; you have two commands left.
