I don’t know if the permanent head damage is the cause or the effect of the whole thing. Maybe both?

I lost lots of hair during my PhD.
Could have been male pattern baldness, but who really knows?

I had very little hair to begin with, but the sun certainly helps cover up all that new gray in my beard!
