I have it and would like to run it as I’m a big 2000ad fan, but I’m still not 100% sure it’s a great setting for an RPG. I’d be more inclined to run Strontium Dog or Rogue Trooper I think.
In 2025 I was involved in around 60 RPG sessions.
GM in about 52 of those sessions.
Player in about 8.
Games run:
- The Troubleshooters
- Pirateborg
- Symbaroum
- Old Gods of Appalachia
- Through the Hedgerow
- Call of Cthulhu 6th edition (NEVER 7th)
- Myriad Song
Played in:
- Delta Green
- Call of Cthulhu
- Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG
- Pirateborg
Games I’d like to run:
- City of Mist (One of my players really doesn’t like the genre)
- Ryuutama (Not sure I’ll persuade them on this one)
- Pirateborg (One player is very down on Borg stuff)
- Mausritter (I may get this one played)
- The Dee Sanction (May get played in 2026)
I keep thinking of running online games but there is always the issue of who will you get. I suppose it is no worse than a convention game. I did quite enjoy running stuff online during Covid so I perhaps should do it in 2026.
Apart from some PBF games here, all my gaming is either live-remote (over Jitsi, we’re all experienced gamers and we can roll our own dice) or occasionally live-in-person at conventions. I used to commute every week from High Wycombe to Cambridge for @JGD’s games, but that group went online in 2020 and while I miss the informal socialising I don’t mind not having to drive for a couple of hours.
How well did Outgunned work? I’ve been mildly interested in it but I thought there wasn’t really anything I couldn’t do with GURPS. Was I wrong?
“Generate a character in half an hour or less.” I liked it, though it’s certainly not perfect.
First session recording and a bit of discussion here.
Less than 1/2 an hour! Where’s the fun in that? ![]()
Thanks I will have a listen.
