Toon was my favorite back in high school. Unfortunately, most of my friends preferred “serious” alternatives… like WoD and GURPS

My buddy and I were into it back in the day, but it was just the two of us and that’s always a struggle for any rpg.

It definitely has its place in the toolbox: I created a Shlock Mercenary RPG based on it. However, it’s quite exhausting to run, and isn’t really suitable for a long-running campaign.

That might have been better than the eventual SCHLOCK MERCENARY game.
Hmm, I wonder if you could write a generic version of TOON to do web comics. It certainly would be better than the GURPS version of GIRL GENIUS. I wonder if I have a copy somewhere.

The rules I wrote are probably generalisable, although they were written specifically for Schlock Mercenary. I’ll send you a copy if you like?
