[PbP] - Brass Lancashire

Can I use the money I just received from the loan?

Yes, it’s available straight away.

Ah, brilliant

Use Barrow in Furness to build a Mancunian Cotton mill as my second action.

Sorry @Chewy77, but you either need the location card or the industry card to match to build an industry. So you either need a Cotton mill card or a Manchester card to build that mill

Ooops, I was intending to use Barrow in Furness before, I will use my Cotton Mill card. :man_facepalming:

It’s a ridiculous game for not being able to do what you want

I saw a how to play video last week, but is not the same as playing straight after on a physical board, you forget after a few days.

@Captbnut you can take your turn. I’ll update the board in a bit.
@Chewy77 are you still using your Liverpool card for the loan?

Play Warrington & Runcorn to develop 2x cotton mills £3

Play Cotton mill to take £30 loan

Yes, Liverpool for loan, Cotton Mill for the one in Mancs

Ok, ok, ignore the Cotton Mill in Mancs. Given that my idea of canals was wrong, that opens other options. Swap cards down, the Barrow card for a loan, and the Liverpool card for a canal to Preston for 3 pounds.

Discard shipyard to take a 30 quid loan
Discard port and spend 3 quid to build a canal from Manchester to Stockport

Laugh out loud at how I thought this would be a move that would catapult me to the front of turn order.

The restrictions for this round are:

  • You may not build railways (canal era)
  • You may only build one tile in each location (canal era)

Reminders:

Even more thanks to benkyo I’ll use my own warrington coal.

So Warrington coal flips, income goes to £5, and @Chewy77 is up.
