All the wealth is on transporters, and there’s no way to get 14 goods together to get a red brick on another layer of the wonder, so that’s a wrap.
I’m impressed. Took me quite a few tries to get this score, but you hit on what I think is the correct building layout on the first try. There is still room for improvement, as the top score is 300, but I haven’t bettered 280.
So… who is up for a game?

Well @pillbox called it early on. One stock and one coin. Pillbox you were absolutely right.
@Captbnut made the right call on the road to the southern woodcutter. I thought we could do it with rafts, but I think it ended up being the most travelled route.
@bekyo saved us a turn on overland raft transport which we needed.
@lalunaverde was right to tell us to hurry up with wonder building.
So I call this a team effort.
Out of interest, what other setups did you try? Other than raft factory or wood burner there didn’t seem to be a lot of choice.

I had the mine and the raft factory the other way round for a while.
I tried all sorts of dumb stuff in my first two games. Didn’t realize how many goods the wonder required, so didn’t realize the need for two woodcutters. Didn’t realize there was only 20 turns, so even researched steam-ships on my first try…

Ah. I keep on thinking there’s a way to do this where you only research oil rigs and specialised seams and only build the mine after researching in order to get two share certificates.

That doesn’t make sense. Is that the point?
(You need iron and research for new shafts, or you are stuck with only 4 gold)
I think the trick is one more layer on the wonder, one more gold, and one more set of coins. That gets you to 300. Needs more and earlier wonder bricks, and that’s only possible if you use geese for it… the timing for everything seems really tight, and I haven’t hit on the solution.
Aha, no that wouldn’t work as you need 8 gold for two share certificates

What setup of world would you pick @Benkyo? Probably building it one player at a time might be too time consuming.
Need to know the player count before we can pick a scenario.

I don’t have easy access to Vassal unfortunately. I can get it, but only on my home computer which means I’d be very limited in when I could actually look at it.
I can do PBF and don’t mind that it will take a long time.
I don’t mind if you guys would rather play on Vassal though.
I’m more than happy to pbf this now Benkyo had done all this work.
