So thing 2 has been saving his pocket money for a while towards some unknown goal but decided to chip in at his Birthday for a switch 2.
After some excited unwrapping and undocked footering with it to get all the accounts setup and transfer save data, etc. we got all setup. He sits down to play it on the Tv and it keeps dropping the HDMI signal.
The new Mario kart is great but the frustration from the trial and error of turning off and on different video settings between the tv and the switch almost doesn’t make up for it.
And some 2 hours later I’m still not sure it’s sorted yet. I thought consoles were meant to be easy to setup!
I have seen HDMI cables that simply don’t work consistently. If the Switch uses a standard HDMI cable, that’d be a pretty easy thing to check. If it doesn’t use a standard HDMI cable, it should be returned to the store and forgotten about
