Leaving Earth #2

Sounds goood!

Shakes space hands on deal

SAS will need to become a trading agency to do this, which would be most easily done by transferring one share of an existing joint venture.

I’ll transfer for free one of the shares I already own.

Fiddly details:

  • CNES transfers one IRI share to SAC
  • CNES transfers Life Support (2 outcomes) to SAC.
  • SAC buys Synthesis (5 outcomes)
  • SAC transfersSynthesis to CNES.

That leaves SAC with ¤5. End turn for now?

End turn for now

OK, on to @yashima. (Correction, because all those points affecting turn order haven’t kicked in yet.) No money I think?

@Lordof1 is up next.

Okay, start by buying a Vostok, Aldrin and a Saturn.

Now it’s time to build the Starship Ares.

3 Vostoks, 1 Aldrin, 3 Soyuz, 1 Rover. Stick all my Saturns underneath it, and a slightly-nervous-but-not-showing-it John Glenn on top of it.

3… 2… 1… Ares is go! Launch to Earth orbit.

I have no idea what you are doing, but it looks amazing

Well, at this point we get all 2010 on your asses, because the Americans greatfully welcome the godless Commies on board. We’re combining the hydroponics module (and food), the Vostok in orbit and the astronaut in it with the Ares.

Arrivederci, Comrades.

Assuming that all goes swimmingly, the whole shebang is heading off to Mars Orbit.

(Good luck! This was one of the two planned missions I had for this turn, guess I will do the other one :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

  • calendar 1966

  • Jumping calendar to 1966
  • assemble Earth_Orbit Hydroponics_Module 1 Food 4 Vostok Aldrin 2 Astronaut Rover 3 Soyuz

  • Assemble A at Earth Orbit costing ¤61 massing 44 with Hydroponics Module, Food, Vostok, Vostok, Vostok, Vostok, Aldrin, Astronaut, Astronaut, Rover, Soyuz, Soyuz, Soyuz
  • manoeuvre Mars_Orbit 3 Soyuz

  • Starting mass 44, difficulty 5, need 220
  • Thrust Soyuz: 80 + Soyuz: 80 + Soyuz: 80 = 240

and then the planned part:

  • year

  • Advancing 3 to next arrival.
  • Astronauts eat 1 Food.
  • Hydroponics produce 1 food
  • Astronauts eat 1 Food.
  • Hydroponics produce 1 food
  • Astronauts eat 1 Food.
  • A arrives at Mars Orbit.
  • Hydroponics produce 1 food
  • Year is now 1969

Aldrin gives a +1 radiation bonus, so no need to roll for the crew.

Also I said I’d pay for some of that hardware, so OKB-1 transfers ¤6 to NASA.

NASA has ¤25 remaining.

Working right now so I’ll skip the rest of my turn until next round.

OK, that rolls on to me, with ¤2 left. Nothing I can do with that, so I’ll skip my turn in the hope of someone else completing a mission.

On to @RossM.

(Give me twelve hours. Planning book at home.)

Taking that ā€œsuppliesā€ as ā€œfoodā€. If it should be ā€œspare partsā€ instead let me know and I’ll change the card.

  • manoeuvre Inner_Planets_Transfer Soyuz

  • Starting mass 20, difficulty 3, need 60

Another round begins. Players with cash left are lalunaverde 5, Lordof1 25, RogerBW 2. (And if anyone has a use for that 2 this turn I’d be happy to lend it to you.)

@lalunaverde is up.

Oh yeah. Food. Thanks
