Last Game you sold! (Volume 2)

A successful day at the board game flea market! All the games I had on offer were sold, without the need to discount. :man_dancing:t2:

That’s the dream! I’m annoyed that one person made me take Puerto Rico and Nations Dice Game all the way to the UKGE, not put them in the bring and buy, and just ignored my messages

Urgh, infuriating!

I just found out they sold it for £7.90

Which is specific.

At the same online consignment sale where I picked up Agricola: ACBaS, I also sold some games!

Leaving my collection is a Star Wars Monopoly game (unopened gift), Marbology, Super Munchkin, The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin, Stack the Bones (Jenga with curvy blocks), and Zombies!!! w/2 expansions. Not getting a whole lot for them, but definitely better than my FLGS would have offered.

Sadly there were a number of other games that didn’t sell, but there’s always the in-person sale coming up in October. And we did sell some other items too, which is nice.

Oh, looks like my copy of Star Wars the card game also sold. Which ironically I got from this same consignment sale a few years ago for about the same price I sold it for.

Out my house in teh past two weeks

Nokosu Dice I can’t be bothered to teach it, so I’m never going to play it.

Seaside A throrughyl Meh game with one choice, simialr to Incan Gold but you make that choice on your own, so there’s no brinkmanship in the game

Shikoku: 1889, I’m never going to play my copies of 18XX games given loads of people have them locally. Doesn’t stop me ordering 18Svea though, or looking at what I’ll replace them with.

Im curious if 18Svea or Railways of Lost Atlas could be done in a game night

Dead to me, etc. I do sympathise, though! There is that one fiddly bit about how a trump-numbered card/die is no longer its original colour but rather “trump colour”…

You do see more posts about trying to buy Nokosu Dice than selling it

I admit that was factor!

@RogerBW Yeah, that one fiddly rule put me off

@lalunaverde I’d be surprised if you couldn’t. The main limitation of Svea is it’s 2-3p and RotLA has variable map sizes so can take different times

Sold my Everdell Complete Edition box to our friends. I named a price. They offered to pay more and I declined. My price was set so I could have got maybe slightly more selling it on Kleinanzeigen but that would include the hassle of posting such a huge box… Also all in all I paid a lot less than the current asking price for the box in Germany when buying the new German edition (yes including taxes and shipping the KS was about 90€ cheaper than the new German edition). So now everyone is happy  And I can still visit them to play the game (I will probably buy Farshore instead anyway)

A friend sold his colossus box and reverted to the base game

I’ve had a good run of sales recently. Sold 1862, 1882, 1880 and I think I have an agreement on 1846. It’s good to post kid get the 18xx set trimmed down to a little more manageable. Still a few more to go but it now feels a more appropriate collection of these behemoths.

Now, if only I could shift Terra Mystica

Yeah, I’m trimming the 18XXs right down to 1876:Trinidad and 18Svea (I think, 18Mex might come along to join the party). This means I’m also getting rid of my full size poker chips too

I’m down to just 1830 and 1817 (and will acquire 1846 as agreed). 1817 is that collectible item (keeping it because it feels nice, not because I get to play it) that is becoming rare in my collection. I will acquire The Old Prince once it is mass-produced.

I missed 18West off my recently sold list. I really have been on a run of sales.

This topic should really be named “last games you got rid of”

In any case. I gave away some games to a friend whose own collection is a bit meagre and they like boardgames quite a bit and so I “deposited” few of my games there, that I would like to keep in the vicinity and don’t have the heart to sell:

  • Nine Tile Extreme–she likes patterns and real time games. One of the “Set” players in our local group. I had no idea what I was buying. When I unpacked it I knew I was going to give it to her
  • Castles of Burgundy–I had a nice edition (the burgundy colored one I think it was an anniversary thing with all the expansions included). I made an insert. But it was never going to see the table at my house. The two of us have played a few games of it on BGA and she mostly won.
  • Art Decko–I have too many deckbuilders and the one big game of it we had was at their house and their son enjoyed it quite a lot. Also the whole family is into art… so it should be a good fit
  • It’s a Wonderful World–I have engine builders and drafting games and my preferred way to play this lovely iteration is solo on BGA. This also has an insert I built and I think it is a good game. It is just never going to see the table and so it now lives at the one household that does not own a copy of 7 Wonders  Or Splendor.

I have also offered my copy of Gaia Project to someone whose collection is still growing and who I know has played Terra Mystica in the past and has none of the iterations on their shelves. It will be leaving my shelves in the near future therefore. I can’t bear to part with it in any other way but I know it will be appreciated there. Another one I built an insert for. I am not even getting Terra Mystica to the table in recent years. I know at my table Gaia Project will keep being ignored.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder, I finally got someone to take Statecraft off my hands at Stabcon. (I hated the game but thought I could use the components to write a better one. Several years later I haven’t done it.)

I saw somewhere that Stockpile will be getting a new edition at some point (possibly on Kickstarter this year). I have had Stockpile: Epic Edition unplayed on my shelf for so long. It’s starting to be frustrating seeing games get fancy new editions and I’m unable to decide whether to participate because I haven’t even played the old edition I already own.

So this time, I decided to sell my Epic edition now (while it still seems to be bringing in a good price) and when time comes to get the new edition, I’ll re-evaluate where I’m at with multiplayer gaming (or, maybe, there will be a solo mode in the new edition?). Oh well. For now, Stockpile out, money in.
