Oh gosh, this is the Tiger Tank mechanic from Memoir 44. I hate it. But it feels right when it’s an imperial walker and wrong when it’s a swarm of tanks.

Was not expecting this - no shipping notice no nothing. But here it is!
I love a good kickstarter - proven game (or team), short timeframe, low cost. Same day I got an update from the Super Pixel Tactics kickstarter, which cost about double as this, that they were trying to get ahold of the artist to finish artwork so they could start talking about production. Guess who’s paying the salaries for each month of that timeframe? That’s right! It’s you, backers! (I did not back Super Pixel Tactics). This one got backed in May.
Anyway, here we are. Can’t wait to give this one a spin. New solo and just a few small modules/rules tweaks from the original to disrupt the decision space and keep the game from getting solved.

Yes that’s the one. It’s a bag builder. I think I didn’t bother internalising the rest of the name as there was a distinctive (easily googled) bit.

That title is ridiculous.
It’s ‘Amazonia’ or ‘the Amazon.’ In English at least. Maybe it’s different in other languages and this is just sloppy translation rather than just plain wrong, but either way I’m unimpressed.

There are a lot of people on these forums (myself included) who have raved about how good… how silly and ridiculous and raucous and downright clever while also being extremely fun Hot Streak is.
Phil is implying that “one of us” convinced him to get it, but since so many of us have been cheerleaders for the game, it’s also a joke about how it’s probably not “one of us” but in fact a bunch of us who will all feel pride (and maybe a teeny tiny twinge of guilt?) about him buying a great game he will probably adore.
Very much “I’m not going to say who I am upset with or what you did, but you know what you did” energy from an amused but also slightly annoyed parent? If that makes sense?
