With that, I think I’ll open the floor to questions, and state that the game will start with the Chairman picking their family action (then clockwise around the map for remaining family actions).

I have a bunch of meetings today, but I will try to make a move today (I have played the game before a few times)

Also, from the outset, I want to be clear that this is not a game where anyone should be waiting for “their turn”. Feel free to announce what you plan to do, suggest what others should be doing to make the company profitable, or fail, make deals, promises, threats. Play order is a thing, but it is not necessarily something to wait for. You may find yourself in a position where you have no family members in the company at all, and then negotiation and trade of assets and promises is all you have going for you: in such a case, waiting for “your turn” is a losing strategy.

Action: Enlist one of my useless relatives as a Writer in Bengal. I owe my cousin. Hopefully, a job for his kid will shut him up.

And maybe the kid will die of vile tropical disease, local uprising, etc., solving everyone’s problems.

Ok. Lets buy a shipyard

This game is so thematic. I’ve obviously gotten my position through nepotism. I have no idea what I’m doing and woefully unqualified!

Shipyards seem in this season, so let’s do that

Hey @GeeBizzle . This shipyard you’ve got. Would you be willing to trade for it?

I’m thinking 4 coin or 2coin and a promissory note.

Seems like a good offer but as master of shipping I’ll pass at this time.

I’ll leave it on the table for future turns or other families to consider

@COMaestro @GeeBizzle as you guys are the President of Bengal and the Master of Shipping, can we make the Bengal and Bombay trade missions happen?

I think for the company to succeed, we must do this. That said, we need to expand our fleet if we want to make the most of trade.

And I’m happy to finance our honourable Master of Shipping on this urgent endeavour. (And they shall be compensated generously)

Let’s say we have 3 ships in Bombay and Bengal each, then we can run these missions:

Bombay: £4 + £3 + £6 - two regions, thus one fewer die to roll.
Bengal: £6 + £5 + £4 - two regions as well

Total: £28 to the company. The presidents will get £1 per order, thus £3 each. And if you and I @COMaestro would pay £1 of that to our Manager of Shipping, then that’s buddy buddies!

Indeed trade in these regions seems like a solid plan.

What’s this?

British Regulars. A permanent unit. Same as the mercs on the bottom of each army boxes

(Note that these may not be “regulars”, but they are a regiment. That’s not important, except for theme)
