I have an appointment in mid January, it is still a while and my 6 months ended two weeks ago, but I feel pretty safe to be honest, so I am not in a hurry.
I made the appointment 3 weeks ago and I chose the earliest possible appointment which was later than I wanted to but not so late that it worries me, if that makes sense.
I also agree with you that it shouldn’t be like that. You shouldn’t have to go through different channels to get an earlier appointment somewhere.

Got our kids their second vaccination shots today, so they are all done for now. Little one did not take it very well and kept trying to rip the band-aid off, even going so far as to fight putting his jacket back on so he could keep getting at it. Even when I got it on, he kept messing with it through his sleeve.
Older kiddo took it like a champ! Slid his arm out of his sweatshirt, let me hold his arm and sang a little song about getting vaccinations (from Sid the Science Kid show) as he got it. Gave a somewhat loud “Ow” at the shot itself, but held still for it and let the nurse put the band-aid on with no issues. Real proud of him.

We’re not going anywhere either. We were supposed to be taking my husband’s kids to my parents’ place, but that seemed like an increasingly terrible idea…

Our plans to see my sister with my dad are still on as of now. This may change in the next few days. We‘d be 4 boostered adults and one unvaccinated child who spends the days before we our visit with his unvaccinated father. I am taking along tests. At her place we‘d see nobody else.
I kept telling my father and my sister not to tell my nephew we were planning to come. Of course they didn‘t listen and now the child is all excited that auntie is coming for Christmas.
We have never spent Christmas with him. He‘s 1000km from here. First he was too small. And then there were other reasons and last year we finally managed to make plans and …
I must admit I am not too worried except for the kid spending time with his father before.

That reminds me, I need to figure out what game or games I’m taking back to my folks’ for Xmas.
Last few times it’s been Azul or Welcome To. I haven’t played a single game of Railroad Ink since the Kickstarter arrived (two of them are still shrinkwrapped) so maybe I’ll take one of those back this year.
