I’m getting tired a lot lately, and struggling to focus on work at all, which is reminiscent of last year when I ended up off sick for three months. In both cases it was exam season and I was without a line manager to handle the long-term planning.
On the bright side, we are one step closer to owning a house as we’ve exchanged contracts, so are just waiting for fixtures and fittings to be sorted. Not having rent to worry about is a really nice prospect, and it might free me up to cut my hours one day (although not any time soon, because [insert family visa fury]).
Actually several nice things have happened in the last couple of days, so I shouldn’t grumble. It’s just the fatigue tends to override them, annoyingly. Still, I can look forward to tonight’s game.

Just had the delight of the electricity pole just down from our house burst into flame and sparks so thats fun. No electric for at least 2-3 hours minimum

We had a cut a little while back (underground cable failure, they said). Mobile data lasted about half an hour. Then it was solo board games by candlelight.
