Flash Point PBF game 3

Whimper whimper sniff

Oof, indeed.

  • Move to 6,3 (1 AP)
  • Extinguish fire in 6,2 (2 AP)
  • Save 1 AP

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
The Fire Rages
d6: 3 d8: 2

Double kaboom, because the first one sets off the hazmat at (3,8).

@COMaestro to play.

Not going to bother with my ability since all the PoI are in the same area.

Move to 5,3 and then save 2 AP.

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
The Fire Rages
d6: 2 d8: 5

Kaboom, three more damage.

My turn.

I don’t think moving PoIs is helpful right now so: N, W, full extinguish (6, 1).

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
The Fire Rages
d6: 2 d8: 8

More explodey. 9 damage cubes left.

TIme for a miracle, @DJCT…

Eek

Ok so I can have 2 moistenings in my current location, or one in the north east quadrant. Any views on best? Last time was relatively underwhelming…

OK analysing the possible impact points:

NW

  • 0 fire: 6
  • 1 fire: 1
  • 2 fire: 1
  • 3 fire: 3
  • 4 fire: 1

total 17 fire

NE

  • 0 fire: 2
  • 2 fire: 3
  • 3 fire: 4
  • 4 fire: 2
  • 5 fire: 1

total 31 fire

That suggests that the value of 2 in the NW is pretty close to 1 in the NE. (Maybe slightly higher. but of course a second shot in the NW will have a lower expected extinguishing rate.)

(later thinks: and fire in the NE is more likely to take out victims, who are even more precious than damage cubes.)

@DJCT asked for a die roll:
Ok move to NE and then

Red d3: 3
Black d4+4: 6

@DJCT asked for a die roll:
I think I shall reroll black as I think six is the worst possible (8 similar).

Reroll black d4+4: 7

Yay! :ocean::fire: :fire_engine:

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Accelerate
d6: 5 d8: 1
d6: 4 d8: 7

So that’s @Lordof1 first - not much you can do I fear.

It’s a bit firey for me. Although maybe it’s time to switch to CAFS honestly. I don’t suppose the dog can radio for the fire truck?

Correct, it can’t. (And I haven’t moved the truck on the map.)

You could run round to the truck using this AP spend and your next normal turn, though.

I think that’s probably the thing to do, I’m not likely to be able to get anywhere near a rescue at this rate.

Ruff ruff off to the fire engine! 6AP right now towards the truck
