Flamme Rouge - Tour de Fléau

As a scientist, I can say with some confidence that if bikes were ridden for this long in real life, the chains would disintegrate, the wheels would explode and 74% of cyclists’ heads would come off from a combination of high blood pressure and physics mumble mumble shear force.

Well, if you run out of cards, you can always draw and play an exhaustion card. (The system will put it in your hand automatically if you have no deck or discards.) Generally the stage should be sized such that this isn’t needed, though. In theory a rouleur can manage 75 spaces and a sprinteur 69 based on their starting decks.

Coming soon: Flamme Rouge Battle Arena.

I’m now imagining two scenarios - either they’re forced to keep biking, but just really slowly and arduous, and people repair the bikes mid-race

Or after they race really fast for about 10 seconds, they just stand there for a few hours, contemplating life.

This is how I ride a bike. If by ‘contemplating life’ you mean dying noisily whilst swearing at van drivers

Does green S not get to go 5 for starting on a downhill? :fearful: :disappointed_relieved:

Also, if I start my turn from the last uphill space, am I still limited to 5, even though none of my movement is on it?

You’re correct. Your sprinteur should be over the mountain. That makes that you’re not limited by the mountain this turn.

But to answer your question in general: yes, even if you’re on the last mountain spot, you still have to deal with the mountain-limit. That’s why blocking someone to make him stop on the last mountain spot is a popular tactic in Flamme Rouge.

Oh and maybe a small house rule we’re using in the Tour de Peste. Put your colour and if you move from/to a mountain/supply zone/descent space in the hidden movement part. That way it’s easier for Roger!

In fact it means that green S is slipstreamed behind black S/blue S and doesn’t get an exhaustion.

It’s not a rule exactly, but it’s an extra guard against my errors.

he doesn’t slipstream

Not in the crosswind, true. So he’s one point back from where I put him. Corrected the image.

Ah yes, the Team Pink-disease.
Also, Roger, on the map you put in the regular side 9-tile, not the supply zone. But people still got the supply zone bonus. I think something went wrong there

Too late to fix that now; I’ll give it to everyone else too. Specifically Lordof1 and GabrielH.

For @RogerBW only

Since my white rouleur was in the unmarked supply zone before this latest move, could we change my play and use the exhaustion card I had been dealt to move 4, rather than the actual 4 card I used? This is assuming the 3 wide area is the unmarked supply zone, I could be wrong.
