Team 1 - no strikes, no interception

Rules question: is it possible for the two teams to have the same code in a single round?

It sure is. Basically in the physical game both teams have identical decks with all possible combinations available. Each round you shuffle the last code back into the deck, so not only is it possible for both teams to have the same code, it’s possible to get the same code repeatedly.

Do I post my clues here?

Yep. Code is kept entirely secret, everyone gets the code words (clues), only your team knows the keywords associated to your 1-4.

Ok.

Peter Falk
Bambi
Bob

I have some ideas (opposing team) do we discuss them here? I guess so? Or do we try and not help the opponents?

We discuss here. Last round proved we won’t be helpful!

[irrelevant logic deleted]

Peter Falk has a glass eye (eye being the word) and I think that would go with socket (he plays columbo a detective but I’m feeling if there’s an oblique reference to a detective you wouldn’t pick him specifically)

This looks out of order - It was Socket 3, Frame 4, Canopy 2.

Good catch, thanks, and fixed!

Interesting, I can see your thinking.

I’m not sure what else Peter Falk did apart from Columbo

Bambi is a deer (or an episode of The Young Ones). Deer could follow @yashima’s thought of wood/ forest?

Which would be 3,4,?

With impasse → frame, I believe Peter Falk may be a detective that has to solve a case where someone was framed but he was at an impasse in the first round → 4

I think the path → canopy → bambi connection is valid → 2

That leaves us with Bob. Which could refer to a hair-cut (unlikely), or the verb to bob as in „he bobbed his head“ or it could refer to Bob the Builder because in this round we have named characters or people (note how it did not say Columbo but Peter Falk but then this is probably mostly to confuse us. I think the glass eye reference is far fetched but then I am just not very familiar with TV detectives)

On a hunch, I would say Bob refers to the Builder and looking at the wiki (because I have never seen that either) it looks like he likes to work on streets → 1

So I propose: 4 — 2 — 1

PS: I think that socket refers to an electrical socket , see the other team‘s confusion with impasse in round 1 and not to an eye socket… which is why I find the glass eye reference doubly unlikely.

You two are making more sense than me, so happy to let you argue it out!

I think Peter falk is too specific to relate to one specific example of a generic detective story. Outside of columbo glass eye was the second thing that jumped out at me as a quality of Falk and because of the clear match to socket I can’t shake it.

Haven’t got much linked between the other ones.

If I was going to suggest I thing

3 for falk.
2 for bambi
1 linking street and Bob

There’s something intriguing because they distinguished easily between street and path.

I’m just realizing we went backwards here and jumped ahead of @benkyo. Will course correct next round.

Do we have consensus from Team A?

I say let’s go with @mistercrayon  It’s close enough to my own guess for me and I have never once seen Columbo (I think…)
