I opened a game. If @Lalunaverde isn’t interested anymore, 3 is a fine player-count as well or we’ll find someone else for that spot. Shouldn’t be difficult.

What does Warlord means precisely? You only need to control 3 planets at the end of your turn?

You need to be:
a) On three planets (cards or preprinted)
b) Have ships summing to 4 or more on each of those three planets

So a total of at least 12 in ship power, if you can divide it perfectly.

The only time I ever completed this was in my first–very clueless–game… since then I never had so many ships again at the same time. Of course you can do it with just 3 dice…

Thanks :slight_smile: I wouldn’t say this game is luck-based but what random elements there are, this time, they were very much on my side. I have never had the tech-tree evolve like that for me before. Every step helped give me the resources for the next one for half a dozen turns at least. Sure, “never” is not that big of a sample with slightly over a dozen games–but still…

It was well played. I’m still champing at the bit as I was one human away from my Level 4 tech when someone closed out the game. But I don’t think it would have been enough to catch you!

6 points difference when most level 4 techs give about 7 in the best case… depends and you may have made a point or 2 from your people via that one event (not producing people last turn cost me 2 points in fact). The level 4 tech I had was awesome doubling my points for automating of which I did a lot.

I think (from memory) I would have lost the 6 points I got for my last-turn colony, but gained 4 for the tech, 3 for the achievement, and somewhere 0-7 depending on what techs I drew. Max upside of 8 points? But then as you said it would have consumed all my people. It would have worked out somewhere in there : )
