Anyone for a Whitehall Mystery?

Red to move, then searches.

Didn’t confirm that either!

Red moves between 37 & 40

My ‘unable to wait’ search instructions are…

And Blue will search 21, 41.

Yellow search:

  • 115: no clue
  • 133: no clue
  • 116: no clue

Blue search:

  • 21: clue found

Does this affect Red’s search/arrest plans?

I’m fine with the original plan, but feel free to change it up @Captbnut.

I think stick with the search

Red search:

  • 37: no clue
  • 39: no clue
  • 38: no clue
  • 40: no clue

Turn 6, Jack to move.

Round 1 turn 6

Jack has made a normal move.

YBR to move.

Yellow is going to have to move back to the south west. I think the south bridge will take too long so probably back the way I came.

I don’t think he’s too far from Red and Blue, but will he go North West or South West? Red could get near 53 while Blue heads NW - or the other way round.

My feeling is we need to separate slightly to try to pin his location. Yellow coming back to head SW allows us to chase him into that quadrant.

@COMaestro do you have a feel for where he might be? What do you think of my suggestions?

Yeah, I think the 53 area is your best bet, though unfortunately I’m not seeing a way to get there on this move. You can get to 33-34-54 though, maybe there?

Blue can hit the 36 - 56 area. I have a feeling he may have gone further N though, and be somewhere like 13 now (21 -> 3 ->16 with his coach move -> 13ish), but the only way to confirm that would be to go somewhere like 3-4, and that would put me way out of position if he is further S.

Plus, his starting spot was really close to the SE quadrant, so he may have picked his targets to be as close to the inner edge of each area as possible, in which case he could be 52, 55, or 71 now.

I think if he’s in the very N end of the area, he’s going to reach his target no matter what, and we would be better served assuming a target location a little further to the S, as we can either pick up his trail, or make it harder for him to get past us if he is in the N.

I think this is probably the best option, otherwise it’s just to the side of 36 with only 1 search location.

I agree with this as well. We just need to keep on his tail until we pick up information.

I’ll let you call the red moves this turn. Yellow is going to move back towards the river

Yellow move to 112-132 please

Any change to Red’s actions?

@COMaestro what do you think? I really wasn’t expecting a clue there. Change to arrest 54, or stick with search? 3 empty searches doesn’t help too much because he could’ve gone North to 35 or even turned South.

I’m tempted to go for the big move, but not enough to argue about it!

I believe 36 is the first part of his coach move, and he has moved normally since then, so he has to be 2 circles away from 36 unless he backtracked.

So if he was at 54, it would have been at the end of his coach move, and now he would be elsewhere.

If he had wanted a more Northern location, he could have coached through 37 to 33 or 15 and walked from there. Since he didn’t, I am guessing that he is headed further West, and likely went to 53, 55, or 72 as the second part of his coach move and is now at 51, 52, or 71.

TL:DR - keep with the search for Red this turn, but change the search pattern to 34-33-54
