Just looked up my King’s Dilemma order from 2020, it was indeed £60!
Doesn’t strike me as being wildly different in scope but I suppose I haven’t looked into it. The components look a bit fancier?
Unrelated but the Zatu Games redesigned website is wildly slow. Enough to stop me from thinking about browsing at all…

This and Pax Pamir are imo his best.
Amabel Holland had asked me to design a game for her new company and I was intrigued by the challenge of work under a pretty strict set of production restrictions. Because her company’s games are built on a print-on-demand model, you have to stick to the things they have the capacity to do. That means I had to work within the limits of a sheet of laser-cut counters, a paper map, some rules, and some dice and cubes. Even the cubes felt like they were pushing it a bit.
I’d argue that he made a great game because of these limitations. Designers have a tendency of overcooking their own games.

David Malki, creator of the sublime Wondermark webcomic, has made a new puzzle game called Noodle Battle.
Initially he’s selling fifty semi-handmade copies at PAX West in Seattle, apparently to be followed by a general release of some kind.
