I’m looking forward to Foundations of Metropolis (cheapo foundations of Rome), Wilmots warehouse and lastly Wild Gardens.

Rio grande with Donald X Vaccarino feels like a good combo to me.

That mid to late 2k vibes are good here!

I found out about it from a Reddit post complaining about bad art design. It made me think this person probably doesn’t believe in romance or magic.

I saw someone else say they delighted that queen games have got rid of the yellow sash (for example with kingdom builder anniversary) and I felt sad about that too.

Pre-order bundle for Unmatched: Witcher bundle has been announced on Restoration Games’ website, both sets with an exclusive Geralt in the bath figure (because, why not?) for $100. I’ll start saving up now.

Additionally, a big surprise is an announced Muhammad Ali vs. Bruce Lee set, coming 2025. Bruce was done before as a solo figure release, and it was believed he would never see the light of day again due to the license expiring and Restoration’s changed policy for no solo figure sets. Ali, on the other hand, started as a deck design by one of the company heads, Justin Jacobson, and he did release the design as a fan deck a while back, but nothing official. The one in the official set may be an updated version of that, no way to know for sure until it’s released.

Getting cross licensing like this is apparently rather tricky, so good on them for making this happen!

Huh. A load of review sites are saying the Mass Effect Boardgame is actually pretty great (in a Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion way, it looks like) and I also didn’t expect it to be relatively cheap: £40, or £33 on pre-order.

And you get plastic hero minis in that, although there’s upgraded resin models for an extra £40 (!) or all resin bad guys models for your usual “army of minis” prestige game price (+£240!!!)

Some reviews say it’s quite quick, with lots of options for paragon/renegade replays and different routes, but even a quick game looks good for £33 these days. I thought a Mass Effect IP was going to be £100+.

Magical Athlete is frequently my kids’ top request when boardgames come out. It’s great for that reason, but not so much that I want to buy another edition.

If I didn’t already have both Evolution:
Climate and Oceans, I’d be very tempted by Nature.

I know this to be true because I’m rather tempted by Nature even though I already have both Evolution: Climate and Oceans.

I kind of wish I’d never heard of the other two so that I could just get this and it not seem ridiculously excessive.

I really like all the wooden vegetables, but I should probably sell my copy of ATGOL. I always figured I should give it another chance, but I haven’t felt inspired to set it up again since I took it on holiday a few years back…

Ooh, I missed that Red Raven are releasing an RPG based in Arzium (the setting they’ve used for various games).

Despite my love for Ryan Laukat’s stuff, I’ve generally avoided their campaign games as it would just be a waste. But this definitely interests me.

Reviewers are currently going nuts for The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era, which as far as I can tell is “Skyrim: Too Many Bones”, and some people LOVE Too Many Bones (as in Top 10).

Except it’s Chip Theory Games so it’s $230 for the base game and expansion (what, I’m not going to buy the Valenwood / Wood Elves?) and that’s definitely not happening. Will wait and see the final reviews and then see what kinda money it goes for 2nd-hand, I guess.
