The subtitle carried a lot more weight than the name, I think.
Never occurred to me the signs could relate to “beg” even after I knew it was me!
Just reading through this now.
This is an amazing idea and an amazing thread.
Yeah, I’d guess few of us have ever seen an acacia tree up close unless you’ve been to a giraffe feeding experience. Monkeys! I wouldn’t have expected that. What were my other three?
Dall-E is one of the most unsettling of all the image generators. Just… weird stuff. The “good” ones all require paid subscriptions. Freepik is one of the most normal ones with a reasonable free tier.
Just for a laugh, what do you get with Chewy77 Honorary Canadian Citizen?
I don’t think I’d be accepted as an honorary Canadian citizen… I was playing Pictomania recently and had to draw “Maple Tree” out of a list of 7 types of tree, and I had no idea what they looked liked (or whether anyone else would know), but thought “Ha! What good luck! I can just draw any tree plus the famous maple leaf from the Canadian flag!”. So I drew a very generic tree, and then drew… a complete blank trying to remember what a maple leaf (from the flag or anywhere else) looked like. (That whole game was terrible for me – I usually back myself to do well in a drawing game, but I scored -2 in 3 of the 5 rounds, and zero in another. I only dragged myself to a positive score of 1 courtesy of a single good round!)
I must admit I loved the two pics on the right. But why a Bichon? Do they chew a lot? ![]()
OK, here’s the outstanding one and a couple of others:
username only
username + subtitle, text edited out
username only
I’m not sure about the first one.
The second one I’d guess is “SteveB_uk, Regular” (infantry?).
Pretty sure I know the third one, but I wouldn’t want to take it away from @COMaestro who has already guessed them twice for other images in this thread ![]()
Well, you got the last one right =)
I knew it!! ![]()
Number one is probably dirkthedice. Although I don’t see a dirk in there.
It is not dirkthedice.
Guessing the dice is Roll_for_the_Win.
Then Gungeon for the second one.
Roll_for_the_Win is correct, gungeon is not.
I was just curious what Acacia, Defender of Pluto would turn up (on Freepik)
There you have… it?
(Also this:

“Topic of the Week” and plain username were just various pictures of trees, not nearly as interesting as Dall E spun it.
Interestingly, both have the beard about right.
There are bazillions of them around here, in the forests, by the highways, and as garden ornamentals. We call them “wattles”, and one species, Acacia pycnantha, is Australia’s national flower.
