What’s everyone’s situation?
I can ignore two wounds by paying my two Investigations.
It’s just one step. I vote we let it go this time. If we keep getting KO’d from wounds, or Isabella keeps spending Investigation to avoid them, we aren’t going to get anywhere.
If it goes down, it does give the Villian 2 extra Wounds for the Showdown - when you get there - and does mean that Lady Hanbrook leaves Isabella and goes back to Town, although someone can pay 4 Investigation to pick her up in future.

I think you may be right @COMaestro, we need to build up investigation to Do The Thing.

Sounds like it’s unanimous then: the Shadow Track moves 1 step closer to Darkness, granting the Villain 2 extra Wounds and sending Lady Hanbrook back to town.

Picking up Investigation from the board is a test against your choice of Cunning or Spirit, with each roll of 5+ gaining you 1 Investigation.
