“Stuffed Fables” is on the list of shame. “Forgotten Waters” is not, and that’s the one I played.

A rather modest month, after bolting out the gates in January.
Went to my first ever organised play event on the weekend, a KeyForge Archon session. Was quite fun, even though my friend and I only won one game between us (when we played each other).
Three new games played:
- Okiya: not a hit
- Unmatched: a winner, with King Arthur pipped at the post by Medusa
- Hoax: verdict to be determined; we played a bit late in the night and everyone was too tired to remember the evidence after investigating
Hope March is a magnificent month of games for all!

I wasn’t doing a challenge and then I saw BG stats lets me do a dynamic challenge… which means it just picks my 10 most played games for the list In that case I am at 50 of 100 today.
With Calico (solo) and Sprawlopolis (solo) leading the bunch with 10 plays each followed by

Yeah, still a lot of solo games. There are a few runners up atm that will surely break into the Top 10 (Red Rising is definitely a candidate, and there is no way Spirit Island isn’t going to make an appearance soon)

No love on the list this month.
My weekly board game chats continue, and that means I get to play a few quicker games with Natalia at least once a week, and that’s nice. Still mostly dexterity games (we played Pitchcar last week, and boy-howdy do I love that game), but I’m hoping to move towards a few smaller/smarter co-op 2-player games in the future.
Still no movement on the “List of Shame”. Just started working on painting all my Infinity: Defiance models, but there are just shy of 50 of them… it’s gonna take a while. Plus I have a really big term paper due next week (last one of the semester) AND I have to finish a novel for my editor on the same day. The novel is moving at a healthy clip, but it is also consuming every free cycle my brain has.

PanLeg has moved onto the back burner since we haven’t been as much in the mood for it, but once the current Sentinels of the Multiverse is over (I want to get in a game before the revised edition KS ends) we’ll probably go back to it.
I’ll nominate Small Islands as “best game you’ve probably never heard of”. Doesn’t do anything wildly different from say Isle of Skye but has a sense of fun about it that the Carc-alikes largely seem to miss. Also a great solo mode.

Got only 6 plays of games on my challenge in March, but thanks to TTS, I did finish off Unmatched (although there is no way I will not play more of it this year). Would have been 7, as I was going to play Arkham Horror TCG on the 31st, but instead I decided to organize it.

Turns out this going to be a lot harder than I thought to play all these games while playing games for the podcast. I’m managing to just about keep pace but I’m hoping it’ll be easier once I move to games I can play solo (Gloomhaven, Imperial Assault)

A rather 
paced month for the challenge, unfortunately. It started with six new games played at an event, which was a great deal of fun but failed to advance the numbers above.
Holding steady on the games owned but not yet played: two new games in (2x Railway Ink); and two games played (Railway Ink: Deep Blue Edition and The Crew). Both were a hit, as expected, so hopefully can make up some ground on the challenge next month with The Crew.

Oh well. Got my first vaccine shot a few weeks back (and an appointment for my 2nd shot on August 12th, so… there is a light somewhere at the end of this very long tunnel). I’ve played a few smaller games with my coworker at the start of the Facebook Live events my work runs (to teach customers about new releases, or alternatives to family classics): Skull, Kingdomino, Fox in the Forest Duet, and Jaipur this month. Played a game of Can’t Stop with some buddies online as well as a game of Colt Express, both on BGA (I still can’t tell if I like it more or less than TTS, but it is easier to run, no question).
Oh well. Maybe in May I will get to play something bigger. Maybe.
No movement here either. I had to stop painting my Defiance models because I was hating doing all of them, so I put them away about 10% painted. I will pull them out one at a time and paint them that way, instead of in batches. In the meantime I painted 12 House Steiner Battlemechs for Battletech, a game I have never played and only have a very loose familiarity with the current rules, and am working on another 26 Clan Battlemechs because painting giant stompy robots is pretty fun. I also ordered a bunch of 6mm-scale (Battletech size) tanks, helicopters, and support vehicles from GHQ to work as vehicles for the game (did I mention I’ve never played it and barely understand the rules? Okay, just checking) because sane purchases are apparently beyond my abilities at this point.
