PS if I ever manage to sell Ankh, I am definitely getting Bloodrage (looking at my OLGS #2 wishlist I remembered that fact.)
Super happy to run a Roll table on BGA! I bought it halfway through my first play.
Good news on Dogs of War is that it is next on Moriās reprint list (having done Ethnos and Libertalia recently). Sounds like theyāve finally set a timeline.
I keep hearing Rebel Princess brought up and have intentionally learned zero about it. Imperium also seems to be talked about frequently and Iām seeing how long I can avoid knowing anything about it.
Andromedaās Edge does look pretty hawt, though, and itās going to get researched sometime this year.
I do need to cull more than I buy, so this year has a hard 10 game / $500 limit (whichever comes first) and Iām going to manage closely what makes the cut. Also sticking to my rubric of not buying anything* unless it is already three years old.
(*remakes or deeply tenured publishers/designers can be waived)
Apart from LOTR: Duel nothing is actually flagged for a buy yet. But the most interesting things on my research list:
- Leaving Earth
- Manhattan Project: Energy Empire
- Food Chain Magnate
- On Mars
- The Magnificent
- Mexica / Renature
- Dogs of War reprint
- Pax Ren 2e
- Andromedaās Edge
- Marrakesh
- Age of Innovation
- Courtisans
- Marvel United
Things that are out of print or overpriced but Iād really like to have or try:
- Glory to Rome, of course
- Dead Reckoning
- Aqua Garden (This is like Foundations of Rome, a $150 filler, but I would snap up a $30 edition)
Itās real pretty and real boring. I have it (from the KS, I was into backing obscure stuff at the time plus my partner really really really loves Aquariumsānot home-sized ones, the big ones ideally with sharks et al). We played it like 3 times before I decided there wasnāt enough game for me in there. And I do enjoy quite a few light games ⦠I might just try to play the solo again to be able to give a more refined opinionā¦
Add it to the list for Airecon?
Wow, my wishlists have changed a lot since 2020! Iāve also bought a lot of my long-time wanted games. Dune! Fortune and Glory! Nemoās War, Earth, Inis.

Pax pamir 2nd
Heat: Pedal to the metal
For when I have bigger money:

Marvel Champions: Fear No Evil (and related hero packs)
Agent Avenue (reprint, I want an official copy)

I think thatās really it, at least at the moment.
Kickstarter
Gold Country
Bagged and Boarded
Future?
The Birth of the Post?
Hellas?
The King is Dead?
Carolus Magnus?
Yeah, the Playte OG drop got me a bit excited. Iām sure Iāll calm down, or you lot will talk me out of it
I saw that and put an item on my todo list: finally book rooms for this yearās SPIEL and buy tickets ![]()
You know, I was recently thinking about the fact that Iām not really looking forward to anything these days. Yes, thatās the depression talking (and Iām working with a therapist on it), but itās still true⦠I donāt get really excited about many games coming down the pipes these days.
Iād love an Act III to Descent Legends of the Dark now that theyāve officially cancelled it and any possible way to get more content (not digitally, not going opensource, nothing). Iād love an update and new campaign for Blackstone Fortress, but thatās not something GW does, so thatās almost certainly out.
A version of Battletech Aces that uses Classic rules? Thatād be nice. Iām looking forward to my copy of Container showing up at some point, and Iāve enjoyed the handful of playthroughs of Moon Colony Bloodbath Iāve managed⦠Iām a little excited about the new Dune Imperium expansion⦠ooh, maybe an expansion to the C&C Battle of Hoth that doesnāt cost a fortune? Iād be down for that. Oh, and Iām legit excited to eventually get the The Gang expansion, because that game has been a lot of fun.
I dunno. Everything just feels kinda meh. But Iām really glad that itās just me! Yay being excited about people being excited for stuff!
EDIT: And apparently a sequel for Undaunted 2200: Callisto has been announced⦠I admit, Iād be excited about a cleaner, more polished version of U22. October release, assuming Osprey isnāt sold, crushed, or closed.

I donāt have much enthusiasm for new games at the moment, but I see that as more a sign of where I am in my gaming career: I have a solid idea of what sort of game I like and what I donāt, and a lot of whatās coming out now isnāt really to my taste. But I played Flash Point Fire Rescue on Monday night, and, yeah, still loving it; and at the other end of the timescale, the other game in that session was dnup.
How is dnup? Looks light and fun?
Yeah big fan here. Itās on BGA for premium users, and itās popular enough that thereās often a game you can get into.
I didnāt even bother to list those.
That reminds me: Compile 3
Ooh fair point, not that Iāve played a lot of 2 yet.
