I’m sure I’ve read about it on here, or listened to it on Shut up and Sit Down, a card game about planting vegetables in fields, using cards (I think), which was currently only released in Japan and people loved. I may have got some of the details wrong, but I can’t find it anywhere now (this during the Summer). Any ideas?
Harvest, it sounds like. You can usually get it off amazon.co.jp for reasonable shipping.
Part of that also sounded like Honshu.
Thanks! I saw Harvest for sale in the local shop and got excited, but then I saw it was a £50 euro and thought I must have misremembered the name
Ah, that might well have been what a table behind me was playing when a plaintive cry of “Discard the lettuces!” was emitted. I did wonder.
Hmmmm, shipping is 3000 Yen for 1, or 5000 Yen for 8. Tempted to buy 8 and then sell the other 7 for £18 each (including shipping)
Also a very good game (Trey Chambers) with a new, kickstarted key keymaster edition that is likely that expensive. I have the old, cheap, fantasy version and am fine with it.
The new one is also on bga if anyone wants a go.
Bought 9 instead
I’m keen
Should have one spare. I’ll give you first dibs when they arrive
If you message me your address I’ll check postage fees if you still want one
These are so neat, do they have english instructions (and are the cards text-based or could you play without knowing any Japanese?)
Official translation is through a qr code in the japanual. Cards are language independent.
