To be fair, I’ve never liked any kind of pale ale, I or otherwise (with a couple of exceptions, but they’ve been too few and far between to continue trying them, “just in case”).
Although, I have had some “black IPAs” (I have no idea how that naming is meant to make sense) which were nice.
Thanks to my wife getting into cocktail making lately, I got to enjoy a splendid sazerac the other day. Such a great cocktail - probably my fave (though old fashioneds and martinis would be in the running as well).
Spring is imminent, implying work in the garden. The ensuing reward/anaesthetic has left me in a poor condition to cook dinner. My sister and I are exploring the proposition that the five major food groups are gin, vermouth, lemon zest, olives, and ice.
They’re a decent brewery in my experience - not always anything special, but standard German lager (as opposed to the horrid version we tend to get in the UK) is not bad IMO.
