Battle at Bingen (100). Attacking force 100+150=250 troops. Square in charge which prevents 100 casualties. His 4 drawn fate cards (he gets to choose 2 to be played.
We will choose for him, which will give him a guaranteed victory⦠The 2 victory cards.
And the city defense card isā¦
which his noble prevents. And so he wins the battle!
okay. moving on⦠now Assembly phase.
Iāll probably be helping you all alot in this first time new Assembly procedures.
is there a possible idea of what Agenda card the Chairman @TomNowell might choose first? This is all part of the discussion phase.
And everyone gives input if they are really interested in a card, or if they are willing to sell their votes (support) to the highest offer? etc. (or if they intend to not attack a certain city, or if they intend to stay away from a certain city/or Baron, etc)
Vote totals. (Everyone gets an added vote per self and city owned)
Blue (5), Purple (2), Yellow (2), Black (3), Green (4), Red (4)
As you can see. If you want something, you need the support of at least two (or more) other Barons. So you have to āwheel and dealā!
And that last card (Expel), everyone can just āabstainā and it will go away. Orā¦
give to the HoC which (might) force him to use his Veto?
Or make deals that will appease the HoC so that he doesnāt use his veto on a certain card., etc
I propose we vote on the Expel first. The sensible thing to do would be for everyone to abstain, so none face the horrible fate. If some vile blackguard chooses not to abstain, then the Head of the Church can still stop it and we know whoever voted to inflict it on someone is a wrong 'un of the worst order.
As for the rest, well, we all want money, troops, fancy titles and Iām sure we can come to some voting arrangement which rewards everyone sensible enough to rally votes.
Iām happy to abstain from expell. No one has upset me enough yetā¦
If everyone is in agreement, to abstain, then that is it and we have resolved that item on the agenda and we can move on to the next one. We proceed sorta like that.
Everyone has to be in agreement of what their votes are or are not supporting. And it isnāt āoh you have to vote first and once youāve voted itās too lateā. No, it doesnāt work like that.
Everyone in assembly has to come to an agreement on the issue (card).
Everyone needs to chime in⦠Yellow player (with only 2 votes) will support anyone willing to donate ONE coin to him. or⦠anyone can come up with alternativesā¦
Voting is in turn order, starting with the chairman? So my vote is last unless the chairman gets another shot?
If that is the case, I will conditionally abstain provided everyone has abstained until that juncture.
Does the Jewel Concession provide six total crowns or six additional crowns during taxation?
Happy to abstain from Expel if everyone else does.
There are three good things to distribute, and six of us to get them. Clearly three of us donāt get things. The Jewel Concession could be split down with a promise to pay, but that wouldnāt leave much each, and the others canāt be. Who has a proposal?
six additional. (why total six?)
voting is not done āin turn orderā. Have you ever seen Parliament or Congress vote āin turn orderā? Everyone votes based on their decision of āhow they will voteā.
Everyone, or rather the āmajorityā will be satisfied with their vote, or they have the option to vote differently.
Blue: 5 votes, 6 coins, 3 blessings!
Purple: Only 2 votes but 6 coins and is HoC
Yellow: Only 2 votes but wants coins for his votes.
Black: Only 3 votes but has 6 coins.
Green: 4 votes! 9 coins!
Red: 4 votes! 5 coins and 2 blessings.
Does anyone have their eyes on an Office or Charge?! Perhaps that Lord Commander is good! and then maybe the Concession followed by the Keeper with 50 troops. Anyone willing to pay for players votes? Any other players willing to support one if another supports him? etc.
The 3 tops vote holders total 13 which overrides the other 7. Or Black could buy up 2 players votes for a total of 7 and only make a deal with one player giving them a total of 11 which could override the other two players with 9.
So you see what I mean about āwheeling and dealingā.
The decisions and voting are all simultaneous. Ie. the faction(s) are in agreement, then the vote numbers are declared and the Chairman declares the outcome.
(votes of a player cannot be split)
I would like the crowns one⦠then I can use my votes to anyone who helped with getting me that concession to what they want ā¦
Thatās what the card says
Iād help for a share of the proceeds
Red Blue and Green is @TomNowell @HOLYWOLFMAN7 and me. Am I right in my understanding that we can just stitch this up between us?
Yep, but you have to remember the HoC and make a deal so that he doesnāt veto something!
or Black, Green, Red could make a deal together.
or HoC, Blue, & Red. (2+5+4)=11 vs 9
And Yellow has 2 votes for sale.
Well Iām seeing a certain commonality between those three faction combinations.
[leans back, cleans nails with dagger]
LoL ⦠ā¦
