oh sorry! I’ll use the war king then.
also, i am vacationing this week and will probably be unable to reply for a couple of days.
No problem. Hamlet will defend against the attack with Maddening Insight.
The War-King is discarded for 3 Boost to allow Beowulf to move to space 5.
phinleep reveals Skirmish as the attack card:
COMaestro defends with Maddening Insight:
No Immediate effects.
During Combat: Maddening Insight’s value is set to 6.
Combat: attack value 4 - defence value 6. Hamlet takes no damage and wins the combat.
After Combat: Maddening Insight causes phinleep to discard a card. Skirmish’s effect does not trigger.
@phinleep to choose one card to discard from hand due to Hamlet’s Maddening Insight. No rush and I hope you have a great vacation!

I think you posted phinleep’s hand to the main thread. I saw cards and stopped looking in order to not know his hand. I won’t check this thread again until you give me the all clear.
Sorry about that, I think it might have been caused by the horrendously slow Wi-Fi here making me think I’d changed where I was posting but not actually updating.
I will trash courage and valor
In that case, it should be my turn. To answer the Question, I choose Not To Be. R&G will take the 2 damage. Hamlet’s attacks are +2.
Then Hamlet will attack Beowulf.
I’m back from holiday. Game state update, not including that last discard while I confirm exactly which card is being discarded:

Wiglaf: Defeated
Discard Pile
Vigour and Courage
Feint
Fatal Struggle
The War-King
Skirmish
COMaestro 5 Cards in Hand, 19 Cards in Deck, 1 Card on Table for Attack

The Play’s the Thing
The Rest is Silence
Blood Will Have Blood
Uncertain Doom
Maddening Insight
@phinleep Hamlet is attacking Beowulf, do you want to defend?
I’m assuming he meant Remnant of Valor, since it is only useful for Boosting now that Wiglaf is dead.
@phinleep Just a quick reminder: Hamlet is attacking Beowulf, would you like to defend? No rush to respond.
defend with feint
COMaestro reveals To Sleep, perchance to Dream as Hamlet’s attack:
phinleep uses Feint to defend with Beowulf:
Immediate: Feint blanks To Sleep, perchance To Dream’s text.
During Combat: none.
Combat: attack 3 + 2 from Not to Be - defence 2 = 3 damage to Beowulf.
After Combat: none, due to Feint.
Beowulf gains one rage due to taking damage.
