I played this (base game, three player) at Thirsty Meeples a few months ago, and my most usual feeling was “this is OK, but I wish I were playing Railroad Ink instead”.
I’d quite like to pick it up, but the 5 player expansion in the collector’s edition means I’d rather have that version despite the silly box size, but it costs an absurd amount.
Tiles appeals to me more than Ink. Significantly more expensive, though (particularly if you start looking at the expansions). I dunno… it’s certainly tempting, but might be another case of “I already have other games which would fill this niche”.
Without having an insight either way, I can’t help but wonder “is this as good as Sprawlopolis?”
Watching the video made me reminiscent of Carcassonne with all the expansions. Played that a lot when I got into the hobby.
