So @RossM:

  • decide whether you want to shift $1m from cash to stash
  • choose a thing to auction (one of the six end-of-row floor cubes, not a random roof because there’s nothing it could go on, potentially the other things).
  • other players in order may bid (more than current price if any) or pass.
  • at the end of that bidding round, auctioneer either pays the final price to that player and takes the thing, or takes the money and the winning player gets the thing.

Am I correct in thinking that no more money ever enters the game, that the $48 at the start of the game just changes hands via the auctions and is removed by embezzlement?

Having never played before I have no concept of what things are worth.

I’ll open the bidding for the Blue 6 at $3. @Whistle_Pig to raise or pass.
