Star Trek Ascendancy game 3

Exploration always ends your movement - even if you can connect to Argo (more probably Excalbia), you’d have to stop there on coming out of warp.

Uh… no… not on known systems… I don’t have to stop. It just connects and I continue my warp. I’ll check on the reference.

8.6.5 Making Connections
When leaving a System to place new Space Lanes and Systems
there are generally three things you can accomplish; directly
connecting to an existing System, discovering a new System or
just placing a Space Lane that is only directly connected at one
end.69
You may connect a Fixed System to a Floating System, or vice
versa. In general, when connecting two Systems, you’ll need one
of them to be Floating. It’s rare that two Fixed Systems will be
exactly the right distance apart to fit the size Space Lane you’ve
rolled, but if the Space Lane fits, that’s allowed too.70
If you manage to connect existing Systems you may continue
your movement.

See the last line. I think @Delwayne is correct. (Although it seems a bit weird.)

Since it is free floating and we already know it will connect, moving in warp connects it and I don’t have to come out of warp to make it happen.
(as mentioned it was Ref: 8.6.5. Continue movement)
(But it still does matter on what the space lane length is and if it does work. If not, then my move does end at the end of that new space lane)

Apologies, it’s a new system disc that forces an end to movement, not a new space lane.

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Space lane length: d3+1: 3

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Yes, I can hook that to Argo by pushing some other systems out of the way. Romulan contact made.

C3-C4 Fleet #2 moves to Eagle Nebula. Ships lost on 5+, get a reroll:

  • 2d6: 4 + 4 = 8
  • 2d6: 6 + 4 = 10
  • 2d6: 5 + 2 = 7
  • 2d6: 1 + 6 = 7

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Fleet 3 moves out from Vulcan on Impulse. Space lane d3+1: 4

(Ignore the pale blue system-disc slot.)

That’s five Commands. and probably end of turn. I have an RPG session to run shortly so I won’t rush the end-of-round stuff; back for that in a few hours’ time. @Assussanni and @Delwayne you’re welcome to talk trade agreements.

can I edit that to be a one sector movement? ie. he was essentially testing the space lanes.

The Romulan Empire is happy with the proposed 3p for 1c trade agreement.

Ferengi bid 2 production.

@Canadian_Errant, a turn order bid that isn’t 2?

Klingon Production is currently 4P 4R 2C (+1 R than you have for me)

Klingons should have 4 Research, as a result. Thanks!

Federation bids one production.

@Assussanni Your turn to bid (1 and 2 have both been bid at this point)
