Yes, this was great fun last year but there was one question that relied on local knowledge.
Just good for us Yanks to know in advance which questions will stump us by default.
Got all but #2 now, not counting the final bit. I haven’t looked much up yet for it though, so I’m not ruling out getting it.
EDIT: Got the answer for #2 now, and even if I didn’t know all the match ups, I was able to work backwards to figure them out after getting the answer.

Starting now - Number 3 fell first although I still can’t figure out the logic behind ER (third element)
OK, that’s all but 2.
I had to look up Indian Butter and Football Anti-racism and did some bad math on 6 but we’re there. Typing 7 into excel to map the letters was the long pole.
Still don’t know what the logic behind ER is! Not sure 2 is worth it?
There are only two bits of 2 that seem UK centric. Well…three, I guess, considering one is left which is the answer.

OK. Finally sussed out the “rules” and, with the help of @bruitist, got it (#2).
Now after all that, I’m stumped on the final riddle? Morse code is just the song lyrics. I’ve mapped the animals to the 7 answers, tried to turn those numbers into letters, and tried to put those letters in order both by Santa’s route and the order at the bottom of the page, but it’s nonsense. I’m either making some transcription errors or missing the objective there.

Gross transcription errors.
I was trying to cut corners by counting characters in Excel (where I’ve done all me notes) and counting high numbers back from the right. I neglected that len() counts spaces. So I had, for instance, IROM rather than GDOM for the lobster.
Sorted.
