I managed to get another one from my 25x1 “Play the big games you bought for solo-ing” back to the table for the first time in years. Thanks to the monthly challenge thread I looked at the challenge and decided Petrichor was the next one to tackle.
I haven’t had much time/energy for games lately. So I am quite happy I managed to set this one up 3 days ago and relearn the rules today.
My win is on shaky numbers because I am sure I made a few scoring mistakes along the way.
But it’s such a unique game I really want to explore it more. I have the big “all the expansions” edition with so much stuff in it and yet I have mostly played with just the base game. I think I played with the methane-cows once and possibly with the bees.
It probably won’t make my 10x10 for solos but I am hoping I’ll play at least a couple more games before it vanishes back to the shelves. I wish the rules were easier to remember and the rules needed for solo weren’t so spread out. I might go for another “write my own rulebook” project tomorrow if we get our other tasks done early 
A lot of big games suffer from big rulebooks and never return to the table once I managed to forget the learned rules once.
