Hello! Let’s play Puerto Banana! A silly auction party game where you bid with bananas to win a container full of bananas.

In essence, it is about groupthink and see how bananas everyone is on bidding. If the container has an amount of 20. Maybe you’ll bid 30 because you’re anticipating that someone will bid 25. It can get crazy pretty fast.
But try not to get TOO bananas otherwise you’ll bust and go down back to zero!

Let’s put an example, in case you’re still unclear from reading the rules:
Container that is up for grabs: 25 bananas
Me: 16 bananas
Player 1: 25 bananas
Player 2: 17 bananas
I think the highest that people will bid will be 30. So i’ll put it 35. So I win 25 and then pay maybe around 5 to the next player. So a net of 20~. That sounds alright!
So, I’ll put in my bid

Oh no. Someone went for 40!!
Bids:
Me: 35
Player 1: 40
Player 2: 32
First, Player 1 wins the container of 25 bananas. (25 + 25 = 50) Then they pay the next player (me), the difference in our bids (40 - 35 = 5)
Me: 16 + 5 = 21
Player 1: 50 - 5 = 45
Current money:
Me: 21
Player 1: 45
Player 2: 17
