[PbP] - Brass Lancashire: Discussion

The Oldham coal is gone, or you would have to use it because it is closer. As it is, you use the coal from Rochdale.

Iron is flipped when all the iron is used. As it is, you use 3 of the 4 iron to fill the market, netting 4 quid, and one is still on the foundry, so it is not yet flipped.

Oops, I had not seen that one coal in Oldham gone, fair enough.

Started reviewing the game, and it looks like @Whistle_Pig took £10 away from @GeeBizzle in Turn 2? Geebizzle spent 12, then 3, then took a loan for 30, lost 3 from debt, so should have been on 42, but only had 32, and has been £10 short ever since.

That’s fine it doesn’t impact my decisions at all. There are a lot of virtual moving pieces.

Not that I know of

I just built in the only Cotton Mill spot for Preston, so building another is not possible.

Dammit! The issues of not having a live board

Good spot - looks like I gave him a £20 loan instead of £30. I’ll correct that when I update the board in a bit.

Apologies for the delay. I will try and post an update tomorrow.

Edit: just sorting out some cards with @GeeBizzle

Seems like your previous move was better, but I have no problem with the change.

I will sell to Liverpool rather than Lancaster though.

Was a card error. I miss counted the turn and thought I had a cotton mill which I had already used.

Lol that we literally went through this once already upthread.

Let’s not panic, I was thinking about this, most of these mistakes would be dealt with over a table in a matter of a minute. The format has its disadvantages, and this can be one of them.

(See how I made it easy on myself for being such a plonker so often on the game?)

Let’s all agree it’s the format and not our communal ineptitude.

The build action is a humdinger in brass. It’s got about 80% of the complexity.

I had always thought your network, not on the network. I had no idea you could literally build anywhere!

Different game!!!

For me there’s no difference because I went straight to coal-requiring builds, but yes, not realising you can build anywhere as long as you use a location card and coal is not an issue could be a significant handicap.

I’m far less likely to make rule mistakes in PBF, because I have time to internalise the rules. I did miss a canal earlier though, which shows I’m more likely to lose track of the game state and/ or miss small tokens on the board.
