PBF Mage Knight

Ah, so I need 6 Block. Okay, play March sideways along with Determination for that extra block.

OK, two step process for rewards. First, the artifact choice and spell choice. After that, I’ll draw your skills and you’ll make an advanced action choice.

I’ll take Tremor as the Spell choice. I’ll message you about the Artifact. Thanks!

Skill and AA choice:

  • Glittering Fortune
  • Source Freeze
  • Motivation
  • Thunderstorm
  • Shapeshift
  • Feral Allies
(any of these, and Frost Bridge must be your AA)
  • skill_purple_Refreshing_Breeze
    Refreshing Breeze: self explanatory
  • skill_purple_Taunt
Taunt: once a turn, either reduce an enemy attack by 1, or increase an enemy attack by 2, and reduce its armour by 2 (to minimum of 1, and this doesn’t work if you cancel the attack, with, say, illusionists or banner of fear)

I will take Refreshing Breeze, please and thank you. Can’t ever get enough Crystals.

Speaking of, for my Advanced Action, I will take Crushing Bolt. Can’t ever get enough Crystals…

Updated offer

Wolfhawk now has 8 cards in hand and 0 in deck.

@Marx you now have the choice of using Long Night at any time

@Lordof1 you are up

I’ll start with Tranquility with a green mana token from Crystal joy to heal me and the crossbowmen. Could you update my hand? I think I know what’s in it but I don’t want to mess up.

Two problems with that proposed turn:

  • Crystal Joy cannot give you a green mana
  • Crossbowmen require 2 heal to be healed

Okey doke… green crystal for the tranquility and just heal the crossbowmen. Aaaand then… hmmm one sec…

Okay, draw red mana from the source, then Crystal Joy to crystallise it. Might as well play Swiftness to explore, I know that’s probably pointless, but might as well see what’s out there. Then done.

The only question now is whether you use flight.

Yeah, flight to the green crystal mine please.

Goldyx now has 1 card in hand, 0 in deck

Over to @yashima

I am going to use my neato Long Night power (just as an FYI for Benkyo).

Good luck with your turn, Yashima!

Kind of as expected… the city is resisting.

Still, I am going to have one more turn after this in this round, right? So in theory I could draw red mana from the source and discard a card to power Improvisation and play another card sideways to acquire Blood of Ancients from the Monastery offer. (Do I get any points at the end for the size of my deck?)

And if I remember right, we have 1 more day/night cycle after this?

The alternative is plundering the monastery directly… who needs influence bonusses anyway…

Yes, at least one more turn after this one. No-one has called end of round yet, but Goldyx has only 1 card in hand and 0 in deck.

Each AA is worth 1 point at game end. You are unlikely to win the “most knowledge” achievement for an additional +3 as each spell is worth 2 points in that category.

Yes, 1 more day/night cycle, unless all three cities are conquered before then.

My hand is mildly weird and I don‘t trust in my ability to pull off any fight right now.
So I‘ll do what I said.

Pull red mana from the source to power Improvisation for 5 influence. I‘ll discard Song of Wind and play Swiftness sideways to acquire Blood of Ancients.

And that is my turn.

I just want to check that you haven’t forgotten your new Nature’s Vengeance skill and how it works. That’s a potential -6 attack and -1/-2 damage resistance from your discarded/sideways cards alone, and at least 5 attack from Improvisation alone, which seems like more than enough to pull off most non-elite/dragon fights, and that’s not using all the cards in your hand.

(This is also likely the last turn Nature’s Vengeance can affect other players - no effect on them if end of round is called)

Of course, I’ll go ahead with the posted turn if your stated reason for doing it is not actually the only reason for doing it.

Wait Nature’s Vengance also reduces the enemy damage resistance? I thought I could just use it to decrease attack?

(Also I am not to keen on plundering a monastery because I still have not managed a full unit complement and I will be unlikely to get a third one if I ruin my influence score any further)

Oh, no. I meant that it is attack reduction combined with your own damage resistance. Makes it easier to avoid wounds.

Enemies do not take “damage”, that’s just attack vs. armour.
