Over to @yashima
(I won’t be able to take my move today, I am still debugging stuff for the sprint release tomorrow with my colleague and in an hour the first friend arrives to help me pack the car for the festival. I’ll be back on Sunday)
Just a reminder to @yashima that it is their turn.
No pressure, take your time, ease back into it. But I am still curious to see how badly I will do at the end of all this.
I know. I am back. Just not quite because due to things… my day is packed. Under normal circumstances I would have taken the day off… but I cannot. I’ll get to it after work and chores.
Okay, so. Still unsure what I am doing here.
So, I have a feeling I may be too slow. On the other hand, I had a somewhat risky last round.
I have considered the Advanced Actions and I have considered the Units. I am on a Monastery next to a city. The mana selection in the source also limits my options a bit–how does everyone else have so many crystals?
How many cards are in my deck at the moment and I believe there should be 2 now with Sparing Power? Three after this turn? Variant
a) if there are at least 3 cards in my deck, use Promise to heal a Wound.
b) if there are less than 3 cards in my deck: Draw whatever is on Sparing Power and see where that gets me.
PS: still at work.
You had 13 cards in deck at the start of this turn. You could have got this information from the previous Braevalar screenshot that showed 14 prior to drawing 1 card. The screenshot below shows 12 after Sparing Power (which will be 10 after you draw 2 cards in your end of turn cleanup)
Over to @Marx
Gentle poke @Marx
Thanks for the poke! I somehow completely missed that it was my turn!
Rightio. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I’ll play March and Swiftness for 4 Move, allowing me to stand on the Dungeon to the Northwest and as my action I will head into the horrible depths below.
What could possibly go wrong?
I need confirmation that you are aware this not a dungeon but a tomb before proceeding. You would face a draconum, not a monster. Rewards are artifact and spell, instead of one or the other. Either way, units cannot accompany you.
Ah, a Dragon. Right, right…
Okay, no I’ll pass for the second action, see what cards I get. Sorry it took me so long to basically “Move 4.”
Hmm okay well I’ll start with Tranquility and a green mana crystal to draw 2 cards and see what we get.
I feel like I should point out you only have 1 card left in your deck (9 cards left in last screenshot, after which you drew 8)
If you want to know what it is, I think that’s easily derived from viewing your discard.
Ah yes well that’s a pain. Hm. Okay, if we’re at that stage I’ll use my nightly power to discard the wound and draw the remaining card from my deck instead. Might as well use it now.
For anyone following along, that’s a 1/2 chance of drawing the Wound back again, there’s no guarantee the other card would be drawn.
Still, it’s a free chance that loses me nothing if it fails, so seemed worth it as my power is useless after this round.
Okay, play both Marchcards and take my chances in the ruin to the northwest. Let’s see how we go.
Crossbowmen and sorcerors, holding some people(?) captive for nefarious reasons.
Okay, let’s mana bolt the sorcerers with blue and white crystals to ranged ice attack them and take them out of the fight.
‘Ensorcel this!’
The crossbow men are a pain to block (they need 8 I think?) so I shan’t bother. My own crossbowmen with bravely take the hit, then I’ll Flame wall them to cinders using a red mana crystal.
‘Haha! I have liberated you for my own nefarious purposes!’
Can I choose -anyone-?
I’ll finish up with drawing white mana from the source, crystal joy to crystallise it and discard promise to get it back again.
Could I declare the end of the round now theoretically? I don’t think I want to but I want to know if it’s possible?
Yes, you can choose anyone, no you cannot declare end of round on a round in which you took a turn (and still have a card in deck!)
Ah yes fair enough. Well I want to do some healing really. Quite what the Altem mages were doing getting themselves captured by those losers, I don’t know, but they’re my Altem mages now.
