Play Concentration with a Green Mana die to play Threaten at the higher level and with +2 Influence (7). Add my “Everybody Loves Me” Reputation for a total of 10 Influence, and boom, one Catapult is added to my growing horde.
I do, however, lose one Reputation as a result. C’est la vie.
Now I’d better do some blocking. First use my Red mana thingy skill to get a blue crystal and red mana. Then use the blue crystal for Determination for block 5 to block the poisonous witch people.
Later EDIT: I’ve remembered midnight meditation, so I’m going to block the worms too… use white mana (source) for Diplomacy to get 4 block, play March sideways and Swiftness sideways for another 2, to block them.
Then let whatever is going to hit me from the summon hit me, and I’ll use midnight meditation to discard the wounds I’m about to receive to draw cards instead. I’m hopefully going to draw some attack to make up for it.
Ps apologies if I’m missing anything, phone only currently so tricky to keep track of everything.
Oh, and I missed that you wanted to use Midnight Meditation mid combat. Sorry, you can’t take a break to meditate in the middle of a city assault. Only before your turn.
Hmmm okay well that seems fair enough honestly. So forget the midnight meditation and the whole blocking of the worm. Instead I’ll let them hit me (ow ow ow) and hope whatever gets summoned can be blocked.
To clarify: I’ll use the scouts to move, block the poison witches as above, take the hit from the worm and see what gets summoned.
I hadn’t forgotten the brutal worm, but I must admit seeing it written like that puts it more into perspective. I’ll use Diplomacy with the white crystal for 4 block, then March and Stamina sideways for another 2, to block the worm.
For the remaining 4 damage, give the scouts a wound and I’ll take one too.
To retaliate: I don’t think I can get all 3 now, I’ll have to comeback next round. But Ranged Fire attack 3 will take out the illusionist (from Fire bolt with red mana remaining from my skill).
That leaves me with Rage for attack 4, using a mana crystal, and the crossbowmen give me another attack 3, to take out the worm.
Option 1: Trying a city assault on the city next to me. After mulling it over a bit more that does not seem feasible.
Option 2: Looking at the time… not taking my turn at all and being very sorry about it because it is 9:30 and I feel I need to work. Because otherwise I may not be able to complete my stuff on time tomorrow.
Option 3: doing a mediocre turn.
So I’ll use my Blue Crystal to power Secret Paths and play March with a green mana from the source to move across the water to that monastery.
Can I discard Stamina? Feels like I won’t need it and it won’t help me if I want to attack that city.
Can’t launch the attack yet… need White mana, and there is none available!
I’ll play Tirelessness powered by the Blue Mana die (Move 4) in order to move onto the White Mine.
Lot of very low-key turns… if I don’t get a good card, I might just go punch that Wizard Tower instead of the city, but we will see.
Use green crystal craft for blue crystal and green mana. Regeneration with green mana to heal me and the scouts, ready the scouts.
Use the scouts to march back into the city.
Discard Threaten to power Improvisation for 5 block (red mana crystal).
Use Will Focus with green mana crystal to power Rage for attack 7 to defeat the last defender.
Use source at any point to save me using crystals (green preferred).
