A valiant effort in bell ringing and tone raising!
“We need a futile gesture at this stage, it will raise the whole tone of the war”
< hard and beady stare > < futile gesture >
Yay! for bell ringing, Whistle_Pig. I’ve come around to an appreciation of it with age. Ditto sheep.
yes thank you, I know it’s an open goal.
Me: please save off racetracks for the Rallyman GT competition in the editor’s standard format (meaning the two editors I know about).
User: Here are some tracks! In a completely different save format!
Me: Hmm, looks interesting, I’ll write a converter.
User: I didn’t mean you to—
Me: Done.
You have a sickness. A glorious sickness.
That sheep looks like a slightly rumpled lemming (I Lemminge).
Are there any bell-related board games? Bells of War doesn’t really count as campanological.
Mystery of the Abbey has a bell to ring for the masses.
The only thing I need printer paper for anymore is printing shipping labels for games I sell
Brian “Big Balls” Boru (a Space-Biff! review) | BoardGameGeek
Space-Biff is spot on in this one. I love that it does strongly incentivise players on losing with a strong card and win with a weak card.
The review that made me play then buy it.

I previously mentioned by friend’s crazy rescue cat from Cairo, Khonsu. He’s lovely, but he looks like he’s going to judge you and then eat you.
Well, my talented partner just did some art!
He is responsible for more than a few of my purchases.
Brian Boru is definitely high on my curiosity list. There will probably be a German version in a year or so which will be the perfect time to check it out
The Osprey one is dual language English and German.
At least I don’t remember “Hochkönig Von Irland” being English and this lass’s title.
Not boardgames but apparently Microsoft is buying Blizzard/Activision?! For just 70 Billion.
Wow! With Bethesda and now this, that is a damn convincing stable of game developers they will house.
I am thinking this may actually be good news because Blizzard especially but also their bosses at Activison couldn’t handle the mess they created and now someone is stepping in and hopefully at least saving the existing properties…
Yeah I saw the statement it’s clear they intend to address the issue and put Microsoft’s management in place.
Interesting that they aren’t making any claims around if this will impact PlayStation releases.
The biggest of which for joe public would be if they pull support for call of duty.
Bought a portable abacus and try to be proficient with it. Why not? My mental mathematics sucks. Even counting up revenues during my 18xx games with Wyvern is a bit of a struggle lmao
