They’d have other problems already. Probably unusual vowel movements, for one (or 2)
Is your argument with the great vowel shift, or the standardisation of English spelling?
Yeah, it could be the standardization of English spelling.

What did the subjunctive ever do to you?
Doughy and full of cream?
Eating many Semlor, but the end result is mostly the same, yes.
Today I found myself driving on Hornyold Road.
Well, you’re at that age.
I recently learned of shutup10: a one-click way to turn off all the privacy violations pushed on windows. Doesn’t install anything, just runs from the exe. Highly recommend. I don’t know of an equivalent for iOS.
Why is this a concern now, specifically? Mainly because AI “companions” are designed to see everything you see, etc., and therefore completely bypass end-to-end encryption and violate privacy. You might not even know you have one active.
Bank Account E-Mail: You have a new message, go to your app to read it. To find it, open the app an click on messages on the homescreen
I dutifully open the app, to find there is no messages or skeumorphic icon that could be interpreted as messages. After some digging, I find that is buried in the notifications (a bell icon)
Today’s minor rant over
One of my cats turned on a vacuum cleaner. (It hangs on the wall, and has a top side rocker switch.). I was upstairs, and heard it come on. I thought “that’s a really loud vacuum that I can hear it inside.” After a minute I realized “oh, that’s downstairs. “. I went down and found both of them watching it carefully.
I read that sentence as ‘turned into a vacuum cleaner’ and was intrigued!
I read it and thought the cat hangs on the wall.
Did you know that this is a thing?
I did! Although I have never tried any.
Edit: it seems that you can buy it in the UK, but it’s pretty expensive ![]()
I’d never tried Shakshouka but I’d heard great things about it, so I made that happen. It was indeed amazing.
Oh, it’s lovely, there’s a great little cafe near us that make a delicious version of it, although it always makes me hum Kate Bush.
