I’m confused I’m afraid. What part would take three secrets? Didn’t I gain two from the old oak trade? Or are you saying trading with spirit snare would take three secrets?
Also, if I can only gain from arcane, why does Spirit Snare say ‘any one favour bank’?
I’m sorry I’m being slow. I promise I am not normally slow at games. I find these rules poorly written and honestly confusing, but I have also realised I struggle much more with online games than games in front of me. A little more explanation, assuming I’m a total idiot, will help me get through this turn more quickly. I’m sorry to be a pain.
re: Spirit Snare.
There is a difference between the minor action you can take by putting a secret on the card and the trade action.
If you didn’t have a matching advisor to gain 2 favor, it would be better to use the “any bank” because it costs no supply.
The rules are a bit hard to wrap your head around because all these cards are multi-use.
Trade is a general action you can do with any Denizen. It works the same for all of them.
But many of them provide other abilities… and the specialty of Spirit Snare looks awfully similar to trade.

You need to be at the site. Trade actions are only „at your site“ aka where your meeple sits. You would need to spend two supply to travel there.
The minor actions are the ones you can do at „site you rule“

@Lordof1 one final check: are you sure you don’t want to use the Buried Giant power to travel for no supply, by flipping your remaining secret face down?
I’m embarrassed to admit that’s the first time I’ve even noticed the icons on the locations. Yes, I’ll do that. Thank you.
In that case I will note that the Wastes are the Discord Homeland, the icon meaning that if you play a Discord card there, you get the Relic (as an alternative to burning 2 secrets and 1 supply to Recover it).
Bother. Made some errors but at least I’m understand them now! A few ideas but I’ll go for pure luck.
Search the world deck for 4 supply (I haven’t been following discards enough to know if what I need might be there)

There are some unusual concepts to wrap your head around, but after some painful turns I think I’m getting it, queue total mess of a turn.

For instance I struggled with understanding movement costs between sites changing till I saw this map, which made it make perfect sense.
You cannot take the last secret with Sleight of Hand, so the Chancellor’s secret is not available. That might change the rest of your turn, so I haven’t done anything yet.
