Finished the Medieval Town set… also a lot of fun.
Great minifigs too. Overall a really solid set.
I have a bunch of the new Space sets, but am ironically out of space. Going to have to figure that out sooner than later…

I will be living vicariously through any updates on this build ![]()
We are now 1/3rd of the way through the build (there are 3 books, so about 2,000 pieces thus far. Approximately).
Placing and aligning all those roof tiles must have been a bit tedious, but it looks great.
And works extremely well!
Progress continues!
Now done The Two Towers (well, one tower and a gazebo), and onto the Return of the King (the meeting place where Gimli tries to destroy the ring).
Gosh, what a set. The gazebo was a lot of work, but it is stunning.
The mushrooms.
Glow.
In the dark.
The mushrooms GLOW in the DARK!
AND THERE’S AN EYE OF SAURON UNDER THE CONFERENCE TABLE!!
Gosh.
My boy still likes making small things. The latest three are a tiger, a ladybug/stag beetle/spider hybrid, and a “living heart”.
And done.
What a finished product. What an exceptional build!
My only complaint is that most of the “interesting aside” facts they put in the assembly instructions were incredibly stupid.
Everything else was spectacular.
And jealous. Looks amazing!
