Can’t go wrong with Ginkgopolis, it’s an excellent game
Bought Skyrise. Thanks for showing me the game @Whistle_Pig . And the retail edition is much more reasonable for a sub 1 hour auction game
I’ll definitely take the £50 wood and cardboard version over the £120 minis and 3D islands version!
On the flimsy basis of my first, fumbling, learning play of it, it just might be…
Of course I’ve thought this before (Agricola, Feast for Odin) and turned out to be wrong. But I think this one might be different. Got the same feeling I got from Fields of Arle, which I have loved from the start. Not saying the game is the same, but my initial response to it is very similar. It looks really good.
Good news: Innovation Ultimate core game fits perfectly in a promold snap 100:
Measurements suggest the rest of the game will fit perfectly in a bcw 500 box with a few dividers. Color printer and 4" wide clear packing tape can five that box a logo and a nice luster. That’s the plan now.
I’m going to carry the base game in my 1e box when that’s all I need, and rework either the deluxe or ultimate - probably the ultimate - to fit 4 cardboard card racks and all the cards, maybe the 1e box too.
Careful! You are approaching pillbox Roads & Boats territory!
The road from “I really need to sort out the pieces in my copy of Tzolk’in” to this is remarkably short:
Just bought a copy of Colt Express Big Box to replace my old Colt Express plus 10th Anniversary stuff.
Good news! It all fits in the box!
… kinda! There are a bunch of cards and some meeples that I have no idea what they’re for (maybe Colt Express Junior?). And a few of the compartments are tres tight. But it fits!
Just got 18Mex 1st edition for £40. Perfectky acceptable price I think and Scott from All Aboard Games confirmed there were no ganmeplay updates in their edition
Baltimore and Ohio - the last Cube Rail from Rio Grande that I havent got yet. Got it from Philibert. So far, most of the previous wave were bangers. Except for Prairie Rialroads, which is okaaaaay.
I also picked up High Frontier 4 All Promo Pack 2 on the same order.
more plays of Compile compelled me to grab the Aux expansion. I forgot to buy it, originally…
Also bought Wizards Cup
I’d been doing so good this year!
I was randomly browsing the Geekmarket hoping to find a promo card for Vampire tM: Vendetta (didn’t find it), but ran across a copy of Kingsburg, which had always somewhat interested me but was always a bit too expensive, going for $12. After seeing the shipping cost, I was going to pass but then noticed the “If you live near Portland Oregon, pickup is possible” note.
After some back and forth messaging, I am now the owner of Kingsburg 1st ed.
Then on top of that, we went to a Goodwill to browse around this afternoon and lo and behold I find a copy of Tiny Towns for $7. Unfortunately the box was taped shut so I couldn’t confirm everything was in it, but remembered SU&SD reviewing it favorably so figured it was worth a shot for that price.
Then in a miscommunication with my wife, we also got The Tea Dragon Society card game for $4. I was simply showing her the box, remembering that we had played our friends’ copy at one point. I heard her say to go ahead and get it. What she says she said was to get it if I wanted to. I remember it being okay, but not necessarily anything I really wanted to own. In any event, this one I was able to open and verify all the contents were there. Figure I can sell it on at some point if it just sits gathering dust.
Bought Sea Salt and Paper, largely because this forum likes it.
(In Foyles, a lot cheaper than internet prices)
I saw Waterstones is stocking it in the UK, nice to see it getting mainstream distribution.
I got it from Vinted for £4
Dire need of some … retail therapy and some Deadpool Collectability Fomo
Iki fits inside the expansion box. Shamefully I have yet to play the base game.
Lid lift of Heat has increased.
Robo Rally has 2 more board expansions announced oO this is going to be tight.
I have banned myself from playing Dro Polter. Big and reasonably agile hands…
